James L is truly the best maintenance person I’ve had the pleasure of working with since I’ve lived here. He’s very easy to get in touch with, and very responsive. I’m personally poor at keeping contact, and he does a very good job maintaining that line of communication. He’s as flexible as possible when it comes to scheduling times, and he’s quick and easy with the work he does. He wastes zero time in making sure we have everything we need in working order.

I have left several emails and voicemails with no resolution. I’ve been told ā€œour hands are tiedā€ when it comes to the noise. Understandable, but I also let you know my upstairs neighbor uses their porch to let their dogs pee and poop outside, hence why I got poop on my porch. And nothing has been done about it, let alone even a response. Do better.

If you’re looking for that review that’s gonna tell you why you should and shouldn’t live here, I got you covered!

First off, the maintenance men are super duper nice, some of the most caring and respectful maintenance men I have come across so far.
The community is close to everything so you really don’t have to commute more than 15 minutes anywhere outside of Lacey.

Now for the cons…

The building was built in 2008 and has not been updated since. Pretty sure my carpet is the original carpet that the unit had.
My unit was not properly clean upon move in. The carpets were vacuumed and that was it. I did not get new carpet, let alone even get it cleaned and was left with a pile of litter left on the bathroom floor from the previous tenant.
I can hear all of my neighbors 24/7. I can hear every step my upstairs neighbor makes and I get the pleasure of listening to their ankle brighter running around all day long for days on end.
When I complained about this to management I was told by the assistant manager that they cannot do anything about noise complaints outside of quiet hours. This contradicts their lease agreement which states you may complain about excessive noise that creates a nuisance at any time. (But also doesn’t make sense even if that was true). When I told this to the assistant manager she then told me she would tell her manager. So make sure you know your lease inside out. Every time I have something to ask them about I get ā€œlet me ask my managerā€, which isn’t helpful in the moment what so ever. This has been unresolved issue and is the main reason we will not be renewing our lease here. I feel like I can’t even complain about something very valid while I pay over $1500 a month to live there.
Not only that, but I got the pleasure of receiving POOP and PEE (shown in picture) on MY PORCH from my upstairs neighbor after having a lengthy issue with the noise their dog makes. Management basically just gave my neighbor a slap on the wrist for it and said that’s all they can do. (I’d hate to know what their unit smells like).

The sink drains have a weird rusted mildew smell to them that I have not been able to get rid of. I had to get an air purifier just to be able to use the bathroom without getting nauseous. This same smell can also been smelt in the hallways and outside main entrances.

The dogs on the property are constantly peeing at the entrance of the buildings, tracking that inside to our units. I have also witnessed and experienced dogs peeing on porches/balconies which then drops to other balconies and even vehicles.

This is a gated community however I have run into two people using the lobby for shelter at night.

There is a huge flea issue. Prior to moving here I had never had an issue keeping fleas off my cats, maybe two dosages max to get them gone for good. But since moving here I have had to flea treat my cats every single month just to keep them at bay.

If you don’t mind living with white noise on 24/7 just to drown out your neighbors, this is the perfect spot for you.

My apartment also has a lingering cigarette smell that comes from the cabinets after a hot shower, (I now know why this is after reading previous reviews. They used to have a bad indoor smoking issue that they did not resolve.) as well as when we walk into the apartment after being gone for the day. Which checks out given that I found a used cigarette butt on my porch after moving in.

This is a wonderful place to live. They are quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Its quiet and they do all they can to maintain a safe environment. The maintenance department is second to none. They are quick, knowledgeable and flexible. I plan on staying here for a very long time. Also the apartments are large and reasonable prices.
