I’m taking a moment to write a solid review to share my experience working with the talented Ash who was my agent that made my dream a reality.

Being a first time buyer looking in Palm Springs was a major change for me to make. It involved many trips to the desert to meet with Ash and off we’d go looking for that perfect house that fit in my budget. That’s a lot going on. and the experience and outcome could have been very stressful or unsuccessful if it weren’t for me choosing to work with Ash. A lot can happen along the way and in my case it did.
In short it wasn’t easy for me to find the right house in this market and interest rates being so high. Honestly their are so many steps to get to the finish it can be extremely intimidating and I can’t imagine making it through the real estate obstacle course without a super knowledgeable support system to guide and direct the chain of events.

There were scary moments when all could have been dashed and I had to remain level headed and flexible. I also had to follow Ash’s directions and follow through as needed because ultimately this lady knew what was going down 24/7. Ash has the savvy to anticipate potential set-backs and problems that could pop up and nix my deal.

Incidentally it’s worth noting here Ash has 4 masters degrees! Having an agent with an MBA came in extra helpful with negotiating and setting the bar high and keeping it that way.

If your reading this and are a first time buyer, you may be interested to know that it is a well established opinion regarding the purchasing of a home that for most people it will be the most significant financial transaction of a lifetime. I would whole heartily agree to that notion, but add a few more lines, like: “It will be the most complicated, all consuming time spent to make the impossible possible while riding on an emotional roller coaster the entire time”.

That being said, in my opinion the most important decision to make a good start is to connect with an experienced and seasoned real estate pro. It really helps to have representation and support and a hand holder extraordinaire like Nahlini-Ash Maharaj at Remax! I give her 5 gold stars and A++++.

OMG!!! What can I say about RE/MAX Desert Properties. They are the absolute best. I have used other agents and brokerages in the Valley, but Eric Meeks and his team at Desert Properties are amazing. I met Eric at the Palm Springs Thursday Night Market and bought his books. His knowledge of real estate and Palm Springs is EXCEPTIONAL!! Three years later I called him when it was time to buy as I live in Northern California. I called him on January 15, 2021 and by Jan 16 we were making offers on homes. Eric and his team drove out to 5 properties and made video reviews on them so I could see them. Based on this I felt so comfortable on making offers. His judgement and ability to understand the market and the areas are amazing. I feel that I am almost a Palm Springs and Palm Desert expert via osmosis from RE/MAX Desert Properties. I was outbid 4 times as the market exploded. They then found me a great property, fully renovated at an amazing price and they move so fast to wrap it up so I could avoid a bidding war. A condition of my offer being accepted was that I had to fly down and look at the house. They picked me up from the airport, showed me the house and took me to lunch. The house was even better than the pictures and video showed it to be. My experience ended with a phone call, to be honest, so I can't give a review of the actual place, but what I will say is that the gentleman I spoke with was very genuine, friendly, and seemed to just be enjoying life. That speaks VOLUMES to me, and the positive attitude along with aptitude for answering my question not only in itself, but giving me supplemental information that I would not have thought to ask for, would make me go there in a heartbeat, were I ever in need of their services again.
