Regency invest .
I bought through this company around 3-4 years ago.
The first thing Im going to say is that the person I dealt with seamed like a nice enough guy.
It goes downhill from here.
They, like most other of these companies selling off plan, are really targeting people who don’t live in this country. Therefore are not able to find better deals.
They claim to find apartments in high growth, high yield areas.
This is not the case.
My example was to buy in media city for £187.000. I put my deposit down around 2-3 years ago. It’s been tennented for 18 months now. So you’d of thought it’d be worth around 200.000 or even stayed the same. No . It’s now worth between £130.000-£145.000.!!
I’ve got no opinion but to keep hold of it or loose basically all my deposits.
On top of that. The block has a massive ground rent increases . So that alone will put any potential buyers off, even if it was viable to sell it. Ive been truly screwed with this one.
There investments are not good. Be very careful, do your due diligence.
After being tennented for a year I knew all of this and I actually wrote a similar review on TripAdvisor. The next couple of days I got a call from someone at regency invest, they were begging for me to take it down. Offered me something in exchange of that but I’m still waiting ( get your lawyer on that) .
I did take it down as Im the sort of person that owns his own mistakes. I should have took more care, when this sort of money is involved.
Im just warning anyone else. Be careful.
