Awesome get away. Beautiful surroundings and very comfortable stay. Loved the Smith river running right through the property. Eileen the property care taker was very kind and a great addition to my stay. Thanks Kris and Mike. I love your place and hope to come back soon!

LOVED! my only gripe was that you could hear the highway even though you couldn't see it. Also, the wifi is terrible. Understandably, you shouldn't need the internet on this retreat, but i planned poorly and didnt look up anything to do around the area during our stay. Come prepared with an itinerary! The best part was it is dog friendly!
You really feel like youre in the middle of nowhere! (Minus the sound of cars) AWD or 4WD are ABSOLUTELY necessary if you want to park at the yurt and not leave your car at the footbridge.

My husband and I just stayed here for a week and had the best time! We stayed in the yurt - it was all we hoped it would be. It was secluded, a beautiful view of the river, and within driving distance of many wonderful things! Whether you want to just relax in the hot tub, swim in the river, or go on scenic drives or hike through the redwoods, we were able to do it all!

Lovely grounds, beautiful cabins. If you're looking for a quiet place to see the redwoods and the ocean, this is perfect. Great for honeymoons or family reunions.

Just make sure to park across the footbridge. The back road past the post office is not worth driving.

They will cancel last minute and not even have the courtesy to contact you. 800 miles from home I got an email from bank saying payment was refunded. Now on the road scrambling to find a place to stay

We booked on this clown's own site a month ahead of time. We were 800 miles & 3 days away from home when this; I'm gonna go ahead & say chode; told my wife & I he doubled booked us. She found out 2 days before we were to arrive...via paypal refunding us. Clocksucker (added the "l" because I'm classy) didn't have the nerve to call, text or email my wife back. After multiple attempts to contact this spineless piece of shift (again the "f" stands for classy), we ended up paying twice as much for half as many days somewhere because what else are we going to do on the other side of the country with our vacation funds being held up in some god-forsaken paypal transaction. This guy either got more money from someone else...so screw me, or had a buddy who needed a place last minute...so again, screw me. Great guy. I hope his entire life crumbles around him.

Yes, yes yes yes yes!!!! Wifi, fresh eggs, a hot tub, seclusion, awesome owners, a crystal clear river and beach, cool suspension bridge that kept vehicles out, clean cabin, the list goes on and on and on! Cannot recommend this place enough! I'd be willing to pay double what they charge.

We are local and spent the weekend in the Yurt which is clean (its even pet friendly) and super cozy. Definitely recommend in the summer so you can dip in the creek. We will be back!!
