We had an amazing time with our family at this awesome cabin in July 2022. The private lake is absolutely beautiful! Many precious memories were made watching our kiddos jump in and out of the water here. The owner Eric was so helpful and quick to reply with any need or question we had. We loved the arcade and the great big dinning table where we not only enjoyed our family dinners but also completing puzzles together. Daily we were greeted by deer and wild turkey sometimes literally at our front door. Hoping to return again for another wonderful stay!

UPDATE AUGUST 2023: We've been here several times since our first stay four years ago. Still wonderful, still highly recommend. A couple of the rooms have even been updated since our first stay. The lake is as beautiful as ever.

We stayed here in July with our three kids (3,7 & 8), this home/location was perfect for our family. Kids were safe and comfortable, which makes Mom & Dad happy! Here's what I wrote to the owners after we left:

I cannot express to you how happy we were with our trip and your home was a major part of that! To be honest, the pictures online do not do justice to show the amount of space we had. I LOVED all the labels and how easy it made everything (TVs, refrigerator, garbage, etc.) to use. All of the outlets and modernization in that aspect were awesome. We all had so much fun in the game room and many hours were spent there with our kids. Our son, 8, loves all things video games and it was a treat to show him games we used to play when we were kids. The walk to the lake was easy. And, oh man, that little lake. What an ideal spot for our family. Our youngest is 3 and we felt so comfortable in that environment for all of our kids. We met your neighbor, Doug, and had some good chats with him. What a guy! Your binder with information was heavily used. We managed to get out and about a little bit: Columbia for gold panning, Lyons Reservoir, Fraser Flats, Pinecrest, my husband even made it way up Sonora Pass for a hike in the snow, while we soaked in the 80 degree weather. Unfortunately our fishing skills are lacking and we didn't catch dinner, but we still had fun trying. I will (and already have) share your rental with anyone looking and we hope to be back in the future. Our kids did not want to come home...we took them to Kauai last year and they didn't say that when we left there.

Thanks for making such a magical place available to the masses. This is a family vacation we will never forget.

We had a great stay at the Sugar Pine Cabin. Our party consisted of three families and we had plenty of space and even an extra bed. The owner was very helpful and even was able to refer us to a neighbor nearby to accommodate another family member. The kids loved the arcade and the private lake was amazing! We will definitely stay again.

This cabin it’s a great place the owners are great people and work with us very well, love the space and the games available for the kids, also the private lake which makes easy to enjoy a short distance from the house. We come here every year to make memories Thank you

Our annual cabin trip at Sugar Pine Cabin was a success! Every year, our small school takes a group of several high school students on a Snow Trip to this cabin. We are a school located in the East Bay Area and quite a few of our students have never experienced snow in person! This is a wonderful opportunity for them to experience something outside of their norms.

This cabin has the perfect set-up for our needs - including a very fun arcade room! Our students were able to bond together and make long-lasting memories here.

I also want to personally thank Eric and Christine for their responsiveness and detailed information. They made our trip very easy to plan and execute! We are already looking forward to our trip next year!

Went up with two family’s and stayed 4 days. Super nice place and had an incredible time at the private lake. This lake is fantastic for floating around on floats and is well kept. Super clean beach and water was fantastic. The cabin is set up on three levels and has space for many family members. The game room was super fun, even kicked a good friend Robinettes butt in air hockey.. will definitely make this a yearly event.

Stayed with the Jewel and Boyle family and had a great vacation. I don’t get to use vacation days a lot for actual vacation so this was a nice use of PTO. I enjoyed playing air hockey with my son, who spend around $30 in quarters on the claw machine haha. We had fun board game nights and mornings on the back patio. Over all a very relaxing fun trip. The lake was so peaceful. Thank you for the trip!
