Ascent Lounge - New York, New York

After having participated at a great event at the Jazz at Lincoln Center Theater, we decided to give this lounge spot a look-see and it has a tremendous ambiance which adds to the flavor of the lounge. The Waygu Sliders were great, the hummus dip was excellent, the Chicken sliders were decent and the Lobster rolls were up to par. So if you are looking for a hip atmosphere where you can see a great view then visit the Ascent Lounge!

Event: 27th evening of Monopoly NYU Schack.

Space: The venue had a seamless, efficient check-in experience.

Food: abundance of elegant hors d’oeuvres followed by steaks and perfectly prepared chicken.

Drinks: A stunning champagne fairy, a full bar—expertly staffed by five skilled bartenders.

Service: Some (but not all) servers looked entitled and had attitude. Female servers (tall smile free black haired muscular woman) occupied lady’s bathroom throughout the event, instead of working they were discussing how disgusted they were with their lives and jobs. Quite entertaining

The ambiance is excellent. I went on a Saturday night around 9 pm. It’s a lovely date night spot. I saw mostly couples and it wasn't too many people. After 11 pm others arrived but it still wasn't a lot.

I paid $22 for this gimmick drink called Mother of Dragons. It was tasty, but I would prefer more of the drink than the smoke.

The DJ played jams from the 2000s from Ciara, Justin Timberlake, and Britney Spears to Sean Paul. I would recommend it if you want to be able to dance or have conversations without yelling over the music. It's a classy establishment.

Music was fire and it was super fun but not super busy/ on the emptier side!

The one thing I’d note is that my waitress tipped herself when she charged my card…? She offered to void it - it wasn’t that big of a deal if it was genuinely an accident but idk, didn’t love that

My first time here and I had a lovely experience. I came for a work outing. The service was amazing. There was nothing that I can complain about the atmosphere was sophisticated and elegant. We were all comfortable and enjoyed our time there. The coconut espresso martini was delicious five of us ordered it. We had two different kinds of wine that were very tasty. The food was good, and the servers were very friendly.

This is a beautiful lounge and then on Saturdays and Fridays it becomes a live DJ dance club like area. Food is great. Drinks are good. Vibe is spectacular!

Berele

One of the most romantic lounges I have ever visited. Let's be honest, it's not cheap. But, you can look forward to spectacular views, probably some of the best in the city. The food is basic. It's described better than iot tastes. The service is entitled, they are not trying very hard to please your visit. Still, if you're looking for a unique evening, this spot will do it.

We recently hosted a corporate event for our law firm at Ascent Lounge. While the ambiance was elegant and the staff accommodating, there were a few drawbacks. The food could have been better—definitely room for improvement there. We opted for an open bar package, but not all drinks were included, which was a bit disappointing.

Although we had a good time overall, the venue seems more suited for dates or business meetings rather than large-scale corporate events. If you’re planning something intimate or one-on-one, it might be a great choice. For larger gatherings, it might not be the ideal fit.
