A great spot! Solid floor plans and high ceilings are a plus. Super close to Bart, Mandela grocery store, downtown oakland, USPS, and around the corner from the lake and Emeryville too. The staff here (Tahlia and Miriam) are cool so it’s super easy asking questions, getting help, and finding solutions for any issues. The manager, Miriam, will go out of her way to make sure you’re taken care of and has been helpful since day one. They plan community events with free food so that’s pretty cool too.

Me and my partner just moved into this place and we love it !! We would love to thank diamond and Kenya for making this happen, there were a few hiccups on our end trying to move in, they were very helpful and answered every question we had. I have lived in over 6 different apartment buildings and The Union has been by far the best experience I have ever had! The Management by Mariam and Tahlia is WORLD CLASS and I have never had such kind and caring building managers!!!! The location of the building is convenient and the amenities are nice! There are Amazing views from the 6th floor and in 15months of staying there Im happy to say the elevators never failed me! The maintenance is quick and would come fix the few problems we had day of or the next day. I couldn’t have had a better experience at the Union!

I just signed my second renewal here at the Union. My decision to remain for a 3rd year was easy. The building is very well managed by Miriam, Tahlia and their team. The property is clean and any issue that arises is quickly attended to. My neighbors are all respectful of each other which is a testament to the tenant selection process. This is a very nice place to come home to.

Please go on Yelp and read the comments. This property is ran by Greystar which, for some reason, is still allowed to operate. I gave my move out notice 2 months in advance, thankufully saved the evidence, and just received a statement about 5K bill for not giving sufficient notice. I have already contacted attorneys. If anyone is in similar position, please let me know. Oh, and also-trash everywhere, people fighting next door, garage that gets broken into all the time, and all that.
To the owner: Not only did no one contacted me. The Greystar managers did not respond to any of my emails and no one is answering the phone. As I specified in my email, I will be filing court dispute on Sept 9th, so let me know if anything changes by then.
