Oaks at St. Clair feels like a second home to me. The staff and residents are friendly and welcoming. The apartments are cozy and well-equipped. The maintenance team is responsive. The peaceful atmosphere and beautiful surroundings make it a great place to relax. The amenities, including a fitness center and outdoor pool, are fantastic. The location is convenient, with shops and restaurants nearby. Living at Oaks at St. Clair has been a wonderful community experience. Highly recommended for a cozy and welcoming home!!

The absolute worst apartment I have ever lived in. One of the worst things that happened while we were living there was caught on our ring camera on our front door teenagers pointing guns at our front doors and the apartment complex did nothing about it. Because they truly don’t care and just want your rent money. Which by the way we paid $2300 a month for a one bedroom, not remodeled NASTY apartment.
And looking at these reviews, they are all FAKE. There is no way anyone enjoyed living here.

I have to share my experience with this apartment complex because it's been quite a journey! The property manager tends to come off as a bit condescending and really likes to assert her authority. I think that might be a reason why they struggle to keep leasing agents; I've seen about seven different ones come and go in the two years I've lived here!

One thing that really stands out is when the manager insists that everything has to go through her. I mean, isn't that what leasing agents are for? On top of the management issues, the apartment has no insulation, which causes them to accumulate a lot of dust according to the property manager, although it’s visible signs of black mold.

I've also noticed that they add fees to your balance and try to justify it with audits, even when your statements clearly show the opposite. Communicating via email is nonexistent they prefer to have you come in person, that way there’s no paper trail on the false information that they give you.

The management team including the regional manager, isn't really up to par to be in care of anyone’s business. they mentioned my water bill would only be around $30 a month, which sounds nice, but then you end up paying much more for sewer services due to ongoing water issues, which leads to regular water shut-offs a few times a month. I’m only home a total of two times a week but my sewer bill is anywhere from $80-$120 a month. Just a heads up: you can hear the pipes every time you use the water, and it's not the most pleasant experience. Allegiant-Carter is trying to sell this apartment community for a reason.

The first few photo shows the original work order we placed back in February regarding the black mold issue. Then, you'll see some pictures of the maintenance guy cleaning the vents in my master bathroom sink back in May – definitely not the most pleasant sight! Lastly, I included some recent photos of my vents. Despite all this, they’re saying it’s not black mold. I'm in the middle of moving, and I’ve noticed several of my shoes are now growing mold spores, which I've attached as well. Just a heads-up – I really wouldn’t recommend spending your money here!

My daughter and her lil family live here at The Oaks of St Clair and they love it! So many amenities, pool, fitness gym, dog parks,Amazon hub pick up area. Mrs Bernadette and Tia at the office are Super nice and on top of things. The apartments are spacious and nice and clean. Make an appointment for a showing today♥️

Terrible,terrible.. I have lived here 4 16 months did yall know were are on the Jeff Co. Sewer system? My sewer rates are 90 dollars a month
Don't be fooled.by the 1320$ rent mine averages pver 1600$.a month. Water, sewer trash removal and the dumpster is.always overflowing plus the charge a 25$ trash valet service which they don't even do. I haven't had a trash can outside.my door in weeks not to mention the "damage waiver fee" they have never explained to.me hat that is. Or the shared breezeway electrical fee or the no existent maintenance or pest.control fees i have a 2 bedroom unit.nd.my rent has never been below 1650$ plus if cant.cant pay by the 5th of the month they give.toy.1 week.to.settle.up.for am extra hundred or they try to.force you out. DO NOT LEASE.HERE I REPEAT DO NOT LEASE HERE

Just moved my son in and the AC wasn’t working right. Called the office and Bernadette got someone on in immediately. She has been extremely helpful through the whole selection and move in process.

it took a one star review to get motion, but the district mgr issued an apology. Ms. Bernadette finally has some back up in keeping her residents as safe as possible with the needed tools. She has been trying for months, which is why I spoke with upper management in the first place.

I am relieved to report that I have been told floodlights will be installed, they are addressing the fencing issues in much more aggressive ways and there is a potential for cameras. while this may not stop any wrong doings, it will make it easier for the police and office if there are any issues. and once kids/teens realize they are being recorded, I believe my area will be incredibly safe.

Ms. Bernadette has always been friendly, professional, regularly goes above and beyond and truly cares about her residents, the safety and feel of a community. She and the entire office and maintenance staff work to make the property welcoming with well maintained landscaping. The front office is always incredibly friendly, caring, and professional. The maintenance team is awesome and issues such as filters and light bulbs are easily replaced with a simple call.

Ms Bernadette is a delight to work with, she is friendly and has a wonderful and welcoming personality. If you do have any issues, she is always willing to listen and is always ready with ideas and solutions. I am glad she is finally getting the support she needs to continue with her efforts to build a strong, friendly and welcoming environment. I look forward to upper management implementing the changes she said were upcoming. I look forward to a beautiful fall season at the Oaks.

Incredibly disappointing experience from regional
Ms. Bernadette is wonderful, this is out of her control. District should offer better solutions to their renters. Or act like they care at all. She was incredibly dismissive.

Excellent customer service. Very friendly, professional. Excellent and timely!! They took care of everything before the weekend. Excellent. Super happy with service. You do not have to wait long at all and they stay until everything is perfect!!!!!

And I agree with the last post Ms. Samantha and Mrs Bernadette are wonderful!

I was just looking at the older reviews- I've been here since September...grounds are always clean. Gate can be iffy but it feels and seems to be super safe. The loudest thing I ever hear is kids playing outside. My appliances are older, but my rent is low compared to anywhere else in the area or bham in general. I've been very pleased and plan to renew my lease
