It was a wonderful stay! My two friends and I stayed in their double king for the long weekend and we had a wonderful time. The room was spacious and we used the coffee table to play a lot of board games. Danielle and Kendra were amazing and welcomed us with a glass of wine. They were also really lovely with my dog, Wilby! The smores and movie around the fire were great but it was a bit too chilly to stay long. Would definitely recommend this location if you're hoping to explore the nearby areas!

My husband and I stayed here for our first wedding anniversary. Tatiana checked us in while Kendra, the general manager warmly welcomed us with a glass of local red wine. We stayed in room two with our dogs and were delighted with the accommodations of a fireplace, king bed, mini fridge and spacious room. The breakfast each morning was delicious. Kendra even shared recipes with me of two of my favorite dishes that were made.

The location was ideal! We were visited The Birds Café (great artichoke tacos), Sea Flower Café, Dillon Beach, Halleck Vineyard (schedule pairing tasting ahead of time), and Drake’s. All were no more than 20
minutes at most from Sonoma Coast Villa. Very quaint, serene, and rustic coastal charm with an extremely friendly and hospitable staff. I highly recommend booking here for your next getaway.

Arrived during a rainstorm that had closed portions of Hwy 1 due to flooding. The lone receptionist, who leaves by 10 pm, informed us that the “innkeeper” could be reached by a posted phone number. The problem is that there is NO cell reception. We inquired about backup generators should the power go out , which is common in the area( and no one there to assist). Receptionist stated there was a boxed generator that had not been installed, but there was a lantern and the fireplace for light.|We were very concerned about safety as one of the entry roads to the location had already been closed and more rain ( and wind—the area is known for its winds) were due that evening and next day.|We did not feel safe at the location, more so being virtually on our own) and said we were leaving while there was still a passable way out. Receptionist insisted we still would be charged for one nights stay.

Kendra, Tanya & Steve made our short stay at Sonoma Coast a delight. They were each welcoming of our pup Leo, built a fire for us at night, and even drove my Wife to the local spa when Uber proved to be unreliable. True hospitality that’s hard to find. The grounds had a beautiful walking trail and we were sited close to the coast and nearby Sebastopol. Looking forward to coming back in summer!

What a cute get away. The grounds are beautiful some of the rooms are a little outdated and could use a few upgrades. I’m sure that is probably in the works as it is under new management.
The staff is amazing. Very welcoming from the moment you arrive. We pretty much had the place to ourselves. If you need to stay connected to the world this is not the place for you. Unfortunately if you don’t connect to their WiFi it’s a dead zone but that’s what we were looking for. If you need to stay somewhat connected you’re able to make WiFi calls and view Netflix and all that good stuff as long as you access there WiFi.

This is our second time staying and our first under the new management.

Pretty basic motel experience. Room is larger but reviews are right that it's a little grungy. Dust and not quite clean.
The huge negative was the surprise "Resort Fee":
a. This isn't a "Resort". This is a pretty basic 1-clerk motel.
b. This was never mentioned at booking.
c. This was never mentioned at check-in.
d. No receipt was provided so this was just a surprise on the credit card bill. (Yes, I am going to have it reversed). They have my email and text and sent me a survey - but never bothered to send a receipt.

I was appalled to pay a premium rate only to find myself in a worn-out and foul-smelling room. The entire experience was deeply disappointing. The hot tub was not only dated but also filthy, with visible dirt floating on the surface and an overpowering smell of chlorine. The property itself feels neglected and poorly maintained, with signs of decay everywhere. It’s clear that this hotel has seen better days. Absolutely not worth the money—do yourself a favor and look elsewhere

Very cozy hotel with exceptional staff, excellent breakfast and nice rooms. Beautiful garden, the rooms are spacious and elegant, even if a bit dark, but I tried several hotels in the area and this is definitely the very best. Great location to tour this area
