My daughter and I visited Rams Hill Golf Club to watch my son in a college golf tournament. This course was hands down the prettiest golf course I have ever visited, and we were able to watch a great few days of college golf here. We were astounded by the quality of service, specifically that of Ben at the front desk. Even when there were times when we were waitlisted for a spectator cart due to public use of carts, Ben was super helpful and went above and beyond to make sure that we were taken care of. I hope that one day my son's college golf team will return to this course so we can see the gorgeous mountain views that are available from every tee box and green. We also ate at the clubhouse several times and thought the food there was delicious.

4.5/5 (10/19/24) - Great round! This place is gorgeous and absolutely worth the trek. Conditions are excellent, pace of play was great, and the course layout and scenery is beautiful. They even let you play for free on your birthday, i'll be back next year for that free round. Price was slightly steep but understandable for how nice the facility. My only surprise and recommendation was a cart lady or some sort of snack bar before you head out. We had a group of 4 on a warm early afternoon and was looking to get food and snacks on the way out but had to wait until 12 which was a bummer. But hey, 2 free tacos we a nice touch for sure!

We come once a year to visit Rams Hill. This was the first year that the fairways were less green and the turf was hard. There was a two taco limit at the 9th hole and there was never a limit in the past. Two was filling though.

The marshal said the fairway turf was replaced this past summer and will need a year or two to get to prime condition.

Be aware that the greens are very unpredictable and the cup placement can really be challenging.

Rams Hill Golf Club is an absolute joy to play with a blend of challenge and excitement. The course’s layout, designed by Tom Fazio, seamlessly integrates strategic elements with the natural beauty of the desert, making every hole feel unique and engaging. I really enjoyed the variety in elevation changes, risk-reward opportunities, and the fast, true greens.

Just golfed here yesterday and the course was beautiful and well taken care of. The staff was also friendly and professional. It is costly, but worth it!

Had an awesome time golfing here. Heard about the course for a few years and finally decided to make the reservation. Getting there isn't the easiest, but well worth it. The course just got new greens put in last summer so they were hard and fast. Fairways are pretty wide and fairly forgiving on missed drives, but the greens are very challenging with lots of slopes. The golf course was really fun to play, staff was welcoming and very friendly, and can't forget the free tacos on hole 10 and 14. The course is going under renovation from April to October to replace all the fairway grass, but once it's complete I will have to plan another trip out here.

Rams Hill is AWESOME! Have wanted to get out there to Borrego to play and finally went last Saturday. It was a really busy day, but the service on/off the course was GREAT. Greens were 11.5! They were super fast, but pure. Course was in GREAT shape and I definitely want to go back and play again soon. Went into the restaurant at the end of the day and had their bacon burger with fries. Came out perfect medium-rare with a "logo bun". 🙂 It was a great way to end a fantastic day. Drove from Oceanside, so I was tired after I got home. Thinking about renting one of their homes next time for a few nights and playing 2 plus days. I would HIGHLY recommend Rams Hill!
