I see such great reviews recently and I truly hope this company has learned from their mistakes and the mistakes they cost me about $15,000 in repairs and lost rent. This amount doesn’t include the “COVID era” where my house couldn’t get fixed or rented. This is a long story, but for about 12 yrs they were doing good. I trusted them when I left for Active Service in the military. My troubles started in 2019 and the tenant they put in there. Around the summer of 2019 they sent me a notice of “We will no longer manage your property”. The tenant was falling behind in rent and their natural reaction was for them to bail on me and let me figure it out. I was stationed in North Carolina at the time. I had asked them to “give him a notice of pay or vacate” but it backfired, because Urban gave me the notice to drop me. Well, a new Mngt came on and the tenant didn’t pay for 2 months, he was served and kicked out by the new guys. But unfortunately, I was quoted around $15K to bring the property back to rental state. Money I didn’t have because I was dumb and never saved. I had never raised the rent in those 12 yrs and the money coming in would go into paying the mortgage. No profit at all, MY HUGE MISTAKE. Only Urban American profited for those 12 yrs with the bare minimum and 10% they collected. They never did a walk thru of the house in those years or else they would have noticed all the damage. I started getting hints about a few weeks before they dropped me when a Sub-Contractor went to repair something. This honest man, who I had never meet but was hired by Urban, actually called me to say how horrible my house was on the inside. How the tenants were pigs and all the damage he saw. With the new mngt and the tenants out, COVID hit, I didn’t have money for repairs so my house sat for a full year empty while I tried to save. Fortunately the banks helped with relief. Once I was able to travel to Brawley, I fixed all the damages myself, thank God I was a handyman and saved a lot of money doing 95% myself. But of course lost all that profit for a full year of the house not being rented.

Well things are great now, my house has been rented since 2021 and GOLD CROWN REALTY does an excellent job and rents it at current market value.

Urban American, I truly hope you have changed and wanted to leave this review for those “Owners” to do their homework.
