Bolt Down the Bay Area made the entire process very easy to understand and complete. Their employees on site explained what they were doing and completed the job in one day. The office staff were also extremely helpful in navigating the entire process. Best of all, they were significantly less expensive than the other two bids I received. The other two bidders didn't bother to enter the crawlspace but submitted bids significantly higher (one 50% the other 100% higher).The building inspector was very impressed with the work that was done. I recommend them without reservation.

I highly recommend Bolt Down the Bay Area for earthquake retrofits. California homeowners may not know there is grant money available through the Earthquake Brace and Bolt program to help offset costs of preparing your house for big earthquakes. Once we were accepted into the Earthquake Brace and Bolt grant program, we got 3 quotes. Bolt Down the Bay Area got our business because of enthusiastic reviews showing they were really organized and worked seamlessly with the EBB grant program. We were not disappointed.

The retrofit process went so smoothly and communication was very clear. It’s not a quick process. There are pauses to get various permits and documents uploaded and approved. Because of the time gaps and different deadlines, I would’ve forgotten what to do. But at every stage, Cortney and John at BDTBA always let us know what steps we needed to take to keep the process going. Everything was approved, passed inspection and got the grant money! We are so happy to have chosen this company.
