This home is a lovely place to spend some time. It is a very quiet location, and the dogs loved walking the rolling few blocks near the house. It is about 1/2 mile off the highway, so easy access, but you never hear any traffic either.

We were totally impressed with everything that Chelsea did to make our stay just right. This house has every little detail taken care of, from a broom for cleaning up, a hose outside to clean off your shoes, laundry soap and kitchen essentials, a fire pit with wood and first rate appliances in the kitchen & laundry. And an espresso maker! For two couples with dogs, this place worked out great. Very spacious. We didn't even use the upstairs except to go out on the balcony, so another couple could easily have stayed with us.

There were also lots of little extras. We were surprised to find out that there is a state park pass here that you can just hang in your car window and go to Calaveras Big Trees State Park (2 miles down the highway) for free! And in the winter time, there is a Snow Park pass so you can go play in the snow.

Chelsea was very communicative when I had a question, usually answering within minutes. She clearly knows the area, and quickly had all our questions answered, be it the best market, things to do, a couple of good restaurant recommendations, etc.

Even though it is dog friendly, it was fresh & clean. Non-dog folks would have no idea that pets have been here. We will be back!

We had an amazing time at the Evergreen Pinecone Cottage! The cottage was super cozy and was well appointed with all the amenities. The tall A-frame windows have beautiful views of the pines and keep you connected with the outdoors, which was really nice with 6-7 feet of snow on the ground! The hot tub was wonderful and espresso machine was so much fun in the mornings. Chelsea and Bobby were amazing hosts, they had awesome communication and provided clear details on everything, including providing an app for quick reference. We loved our stay and would highly recommend the Evergreen Cottage for a relaxing and carefree vacation!

We had a lovely time at the Pinecone Cottage! It was nicely set up, very clean, and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped (could definitely use better lighting). Our hosts were available and responsive. The hot tub was well maintained, very relaxing and easily accessible. Very quiet neighborhood during our midweek stay.
We would definitely return!

Pinecone cottage is a wonderful place to stay. Our family loves that there are all kinds of utensils, pots and pans needed for cooking and baking. We appreciate the high speed internet, multiple charging stations, and the many options for movie and TV viewing. The well maintained jacuzzi is heavenly after a day on the slopes at Bear Valley. Clearly, the owners have put a lot of thought into providing a comfortable and convenient pad for exploring the many cool activities nearby. We snowboarded, explored caves, and hiked among the Big Trees. What amazing adventures and a fantastic place to stay!

I’ve stayed at the cabin twice now. Once for a solo getaway to the mountains. I loved the area and the cabin so much my family and I returned for a full week a couple months later during summer daycare closure. Chelsea and Bobby are awesome hosts and the place is set up really well, ie. for just relaxing or even a remote work stint. We’ll be back!

Absolutely perfect family stay between Arnold and Bear Valley! The hosts thought of everything, spared no detail, and were wonderful to work with. The house was clean, beautifully updated, and comfortable. The hot tub was a luxurious treat! Wonderful stay—highly recommend.

What an extra special place to create new precious memories for our family! The Cottage was the perfect getaway with all the little extras to make our stay the best weekend ever. From accommodating our 2 pups, a pellet stove for cozy evenings and Rummikub, a coffee bar that was an added treat, beautiful and clean, and my favorite , a bubbly hot tub to end the day and observe the awe inspiring night sky!! Perfect cabin in the woods! Great location, clean, and very comfortable. If you are looking to get a way from the Bay for the weekend, week or even the summer, this is a must.
