My husband and I rented from Home Team for 9 years! We had a great experience with them and are only leaving because we had a baby, bought a house. Everyone at Home Team has been really great, kept us informed, always worked with us for everything we needed in a timely manner, etc. We would certainly do it all over again.

The single most unprofessional organization I've ever had the displeasure of renting with. Highlights of renting this "organization" include:

1) A crippling lack of communication. The only way to get a hold of them is to call them again and again and again, only to get in touch with staff that either aren't trained to effectively help or simply do not care.

2) A false eviction notice, followed hours later by an email to disregard. I had to call them several times to learn what the error was, and it turns out they sent that to many tenants.

3) Leaving us in the lurch for weeks while we tried to get the new mail keys for our property.

4) After leaving us in the lurch for weeks, telling us that they were no longer our management company with 0 notice and basically telling us to stop bothering them about it.

5) LYING about not being our management company anymore, because the switch to the new company (as we learned after contacting them) wasn't scheduled until the following month. This was either incompetence on the part of Hometeam Property Management, or a genuine attempt to get out of a month of having to manage our property.

The situation regarding our keys was not resolved until our new management company (who, at that point, still was not technically managing the property we rent) called them on our behalf.

Save yourself the headache and rent at any property they do not manage.

Extremely Dissatisfied with Poor Customer Service

I recently moved into one of their properties with high hopes of a comfortable living experience. Unfortunately, my experience has been marred by a series of disappointments and a complete lack of prompt and satisfactory customer service.

Firstly, upon arrival, I discovered that the token for parking had not been provided, despite being assured that it would be available. This led to unnecessary stress and inconvenience as I struggled to find suitable parking arrangements for my vehicle. The failure to address this basic requirement in a timely manner reflects poorly on the property management's commitment to fulfilling their responsibilities.

Furthermore, on the very first day of moving in, I encountered water issues that disrupted the normal functioning of my new home. It is highly unacceptable that such problems were not addressed prior to my arrival. The subsequent occurrence of a leaking refrigerator on the second day further added to my frustration and inconvenience. These issues clearly indicate a lack of attention to detail and proper maintenance.

To compound the problems, I have also not been provided with the mailbox key or tokens to access essential building facilities such as the pool and laundry. This negligence deprives me of the amenities promised and paid for as part of my tenancy agreement. It is both disappointing and unfair to deny residents access to these facilities without any valid reason or explanation.

Overall, my experience with the customer service at Home Team ] has been nothing short of abysmal. The failure to provide necessary tokens, address water and appliance issues, and provide access to essential facilities demonstrates a severe lack of competence and professionalism.

I urge the property management to take immediate action to rectify these issues and provide the services that were promised. The residents of [property name] deserve better treatment and attention to their concerns. It is my hope that my feedback will spur the necessary improvements and prevent future tenants from enduring similar disappointments.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend [property name] to others based on my current experience. I sincerely hope that steps are taken to rectify these issues and restore faith in the management's ability to provide a comfortable and satisfactory living environment.

Honestly, this was one of the best experiences I've had with any company, ever. From beginning to end, my responsibilities for renting my house out for a year were precisely nothing - they did EVERYTHING. Property assessment, professional photos, showings, inspections, tenant reviews, and placing a great tenant in my house took two weeks total. During the year it was rented, the tenant took great care of my house and HomeTeam addressed every question / concern I had immediately. I primarily worked with Carmen and she is AMAZING! When I moved back into my house everything was ready FAR ahead of schedule and done well above the industry standard. Carmen and HomeTeam have my highest recommendation for property management!

We rented with them for five years at the same place - most of the time never an issue with response times for maintenance, though they would ignore requests after the owner didn't want to take action. Paid through their website and never had problems with staff. The owner wanted his house back then said nevermind, but was forced to leave. That could have been handled better by owner and property manager, because we would have stayed for many more years.

Like many of the other 1 star reviews, I've had so many issues in communication with home team property management. When trying to schedule a move-out I tried so many times to contact carmen through call, text, and email. I even called the office where i left a message with Jason who said he would forward it to carmen, but had not received a response to that either. I filled out the pre-inspection form and emailed it to Jason, who had sent it to me, and did not hear back for over a month. Not knowing whether they had received it or if there were any issues with it. I had called the office and left a message about a water leak outside of the garage and had never heard back from them, only to have Jason call me a month later asking about a leak in the house, which he had gotten confused with the leakage outside. I was extremely irritated at this point because I had not receive any response to my calls or emails, but it seems like they call when they decide its convenient (which, seems to take weeks or even a month to respond to). So i was quite irate in that phone call with Jason regarding the leak. Ever since that phone call, Jason would talk to me in a rude tone and during our pre-inspection over facetime he would barely pay attention when I showed him the house. Terrible customer service and very unprofessional. The pandemic should not be an excuse for this type of service and lack of communication between tenant and management. The apartment that I have been also renting for this past year has far better customer service, communication, and response times. You can tell they care for their tenants and their quality of life, you shouldn't settle for anything less. 1 star for HomeTeam Property Management.

STAY AWAY!!! Houses may be nice but horrible company. I would give them 0 stars! Worse company I have ever dealt with. To make a long story short they dont take care of issues with the home that cause then to be unhabitable. Mike Cavender was my Property Manager and he got fired from this company I am assuming for the same reason, then they gave me Aaron Who was just as bad. I exercised my rights and they threaten to evict me because the home had mold, was painted on the interior with water based paint so the paint came off when i tried to clean... the fence was the main issue, the thing was falling down when i moved in and finally did. Complained multiple times and there was full access to my backyard and I expressed it to them as someone tried to break in my home. They never fixed it even after agreeing to. I finally went to legal and they informed me i could withhold the rent so i did. I got more information on my rights and now they are trying to keep my deposit and charge me two months of rent even after i gave notice. They also did pre move out inspection, never gave me the reaults until my 30 day notice expired! Crooks and poor treatment to renters! They have no care for the tenant and no concern for resolution. Many emails with no responses and no communication until you tell them you are exercising your rights and withholding rent and moving out! Horrible company

I have never had such an unsatisfactory experience as a customer in my life. We have been lied to, we have been taken advantage of. We have had a second application fee charged as a tenant naively trying to stay with the same company who did nothing but charge that app fee, no help in finding a place. Return business must not be on the mission statement for this company. 0 customer service, no sense of customer satisfaction. All I can do at this point is laugh. Its truly unbelievable. I will keep the details of the unethical practice and advice private but please do not support this company.
