Lived at the 40th st location for 4 years & happy I moved out! I moved 3 months ago but unfortunately I’m still not free! They have not corrected the amount I’m supposed to pay. They are charging me for cleaning fees BUT I hired a professional to clean the whole apartment for $380 it was left the same way I received it & I'm still getting charged for fees, that’s NOT what the Lease Agreement says! I still have not received my deposit back. Tom says to call Eva but Eva answered only once & gave me the rudest tone & talking under her breath saying “oh crap”, also being a smart ass with me. Very unprofessional! Anyway, I want my deposit back & fix the final pay I owe before I get a lawyer.

This review is long over due! I lived in villa bonita condos for 4 years and 2 years in, the property got sold to R.A snyder properties and the transfer was seemless! I first want to speak on maintenance, they ALWAYS went above and beyond my expectations with repairs! Got every request I made done in a timely mannor and made sure that the problem was completely fixed. I didn't really deal with management a whole lot but when I did, mostly during my move, Adrian delivered top tier communication! His email responses were swift and he really did make my move out process very smooth! Now, I only moved because I needed more space and till this day, I miss living there! It truly gave every bit of home!! I miss the community and my beautiful views that I had from my patio! Cant say enough great things about this property!

R.A. Snyder recently took over Elan Sandpiper in Solana Beach. My car was stolen out of the parking lot. There are no cameras and the light that should be shining on my parking row has been burnt out for months. I called R.A. Snyder properties in July to notify them of the situation and ask for the light to be repaired. The woman I spoke to said she would call me back with a solution. I still have not heard anything from this company and it has been at least a month. Would not recommend renting with them as they have not been helpful in this situation at all

To Whom It May Concern,

I am a resident at Plaza 1640 and I am writing to express my frustration with the level of customer service provided by the management team. Recently, there was an issue with my rent payment for the month of August, which was supposed to be handled through an approved third-party payer recommended by your company.

Instead of addressing the situation with professionalism, the manager sent me a message stating, “Good morning, you need to pay your rent.” The tone of this message was both unprofessional and lacking in empathy, especially given the stress such situations can cause.

This employee is aware that I have been using Flex as a payment method, and I had previously consulted with them when your company announced the option to utilize this third-party payer. Due to the high fees associated with paying rent through the Plaza Community app using a debit card, I decided to try Flex.

Given these circumstances, I find it unacceptable that the manager assumed I was intentionally neglecting to pay my rent without first checking in with me. I was unaware of the payment issue and was just as surprised as anyone to learn that my rent hadn’t been paid.

Moving forward, I strongly recommend that your team receives proper customer service training. It would be far more courteous and professional to reach out to residents and allow them the opportunity to explain any issues before making assumptions or sending accusatory messages.

I hope this matter is taken seriously and that steps are taken to improve the customer service experience for all residents.

I lived in an RA Snyder property for five years, and finally moved out. My rent went DOWN by $475, I didn't have to pay a pet deposit, don't have to pay pet rent, water/sewer/trash, no more flooded apartments, and I have lots of parking.

No more of Debbie Jones doing her so called "safety inspections," and putting her hands on tenant's property. No more managers calling and texting me after being told to contact me via email only, since I prefer NOT to text, since I might not see it until the next day, because I'm not glued to my phone, and it's turned off when I'm at work.

The day before I moved out I worked all night. The day that I was moving out, my manager sent me a text (which I didn't see), then called me 20 minutes later to see what time I was moving.

I'm sure glad I'm out of an RA Snyder property, and wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

I lived in their University heights property and didn’t have a good experience. When initially moving in, there were issues with incorrect rent info on my lease and then again on the online portal. Felt like the management wasn’t very organized…
You can hear everything as the walls and flooring does not block out sound. My next door neighbor had a drug user staying with him for months off and on. They would be up all hours of night and got in frequent domestic violence situations. They would bang on the walls and windows at 3am, waking me up from a deep sleep… Cops were called on them by other neighbors on multiple occasions but they were never kicked out.
I also had a ton of black mold in my bathroom which I tried to have maintenance remove but they just said oh it’s not the bad kind and just left it. Overall the maintenance man was very sweet and appreciated his hard work!
Positives- it has a great view, it’s a beautiful neighborhood to walk around and plenty of good food places.

If you don’t mind going without air conditioning in the 80+ heat as they do not respond to maintenance calls other than once and it’s now five days without AC and there are no tenants right in SD that helps seniors so I would suggest before you sign. The lease is to include maintenance request completed within 24 hours.

I have had a great experience renting an apartment from this company (I've been a tenant for approximately 3 years). I worked with Tom Nelissen when I rented the apartment and contacted him when I had a question or when something needed to be fixed. And each time my questions were answered quickly, and whatever needed to be fixed was fixed promptly. All the vendors were very friendly and professional. I have only good things to say and highly recommend this business!
