My experience at this apartment complex was nothing short of a nightmare. Where do I even start? Let's begin with the security door in the building that never worked. It was like an invitation for anyone to wander in whenever they pleased.

And don't even get me started on the neighbors. They seemed to think it was perfectly acceptable to leave their shopping carts in the hallways, making navigating the building feel like an obstacle course. Oh, and the trash in the stairwell? Disgusting. It was like the garbage can was too much effort for some people, so they just dumped their trash wherever they felt like it.

Let's talk about the elevator, shall we? It was a horror show. it was so dirty, I'm not sure they had ever been cleaned. It was like riding in a dumpster. And to make matters worse, there were homeless people using it as their own personal living space and bathroom. The smell was unbearable.

I can't believe I forgot to mention the homeless people using the stairwell as their personal bathroom. The stench was unbearable and the sight was revolting. It was absolutely disgusting to have to step over feces every time I needed to leave my apartment. They would also sleep in the stairwell. Imagine walking down the stairs to go to work and there are homeless people sleeping on the floor inside your apartment stairwell with the stench of whatever drug they were smoking.

As if that wasn't enough, let's talk about the black mold situation in the bathroom. We contacted maintenance several times about it, but their solution was laughable. Instead of properly addressing the issue, they would just come in whenever they felt like it and slap some paint over the mold. And their brilliant advice? "Take cold showers to not irritate the mold." Yeah, because that's a reasonable solution for a problem that could pose serious health risks.

We've already spoken to a lawyer because we fully anticipate that the property management will find any and every excuse to gouge us for our deposit. We're being proactive because we know they'll try to nickel and dime us for every little thing, even though the conditions in this place were beyond unacceptable.

It's clear they have no interest in maintaining the property or keeping their residents safe and comfortable. All they care about is squeezing every last penny out of us, regardless of the state of the apartment.

I guarantee they will respond with some generic response like "We sincerely apologize for any issues you've experienced and the frustration it may have caused. Your feedback is crucial to us, and we're committed to addressing these concerns to improve our service"

It's like they have a template for their responses, filled with empty promises and hollow apologies. They'll probably say something about how they're working to improve the situation and that they'll address the issues promptly. But we all know that's just lip service.

This place is a lawsuit waiting to happen, and I wouldn't wish the headache of dealing with this management on my worst enemy. Avoid at all costs. I will update my review based on the move out process & receiving my deposit back with my email and text thread photos in the event they try to take what isn't theirs.

If you could rate these apartments 0 stars, I would. To start, to anyone who could read these reviews before applying here, please do so! Please DO NOT apply here. From a cockroach infestation, to no response from a helpline, this place is an actual nightmare. I recommend a complex manager to be on premises 24/7 to actually attend the tenants living here. Would never live here again and will never recommend.

Absolutely a nightmare to get in contact with anyone on site. There’s a “helpful” 24 hour app but response time is slow. I have never once met a member of their office staff or a property manager in almost two years of living here. The emergency line goes to someone who relays a message via text message. Avoid at all costs.

Perfect place to live if you love to be surrounded by filth! I’ve never seen an apartment so disgusting. For nearly $2,000 a month you’d think they’d be able to at least clean up the vomit in the common areas? I don’t think I’ve seen them clean this elevator once. It’s also constantly broken. It’s not gated so I constantly see random vehicles pull up to the garbage cans and throw away multiple bags of garbage in our already full bins. The garbage bins are *always* full, even a day after being picked up. Management is terrible. UDR as a whole is a horrible company. Will never rent from any UDR property again. They’ll run you dry and let you live in disgusting conditions. Rent ANYWHERE else. I promise it’ll be better than here.

Husband and I just moved out after living there for 4 years. We loved it!! Granted, the rent was extremely high, but it was worth it! Specially for Salinas. We felt like we didn't even live in Salinas is was so quiet. From the beginning management was great, always helpful. Like any other place, there is good and bad, like others have said the walls are thin, you can hear EVERYTHING!! Hallways have been upgraded which is a great plus, but parking was always an issue and security sucked! Don't count on them to do anything. Maintenance guys are helpful and so nice. Complex is pet friendly, which is very hard to find. Overall, it was the best and we'll miss it!

Elevator was always broken, I'm permanently disabled, and told them I needed the elevator when moving in
I gave a move out notice if they did not fix it, they did and it broke a day later so I moved out and gave them the keys. They charged me for the rest of the lease. They rented it out a few months later and never removed the remainder due. Not ADA compliant, unlawful collection of charges (civil code 1951.2). Reported to ADA and BBB.

Lived here for a long time it's been mostly good biggest complaint is dog poop because people are too lazy to pick up after their dogs and the parking is absolutely terrible. So many cars without a permit are parked in the lot leaving little to no parking for residents with a permit and forcing them to park on street. Security is supposed to write them a ticket then tow them away but I have never seen it happen. Especially bad on weekends when office is closed. They also resently took half the parking spots and made them assigned spots so they could charge out their covered parking leaving even fewer spots to park.
