Former long term resident (decade) in Timber Ridge and have witnessed the changes over the years -The Good: the maintenance staff were outstanding and addressed our issues immediately, snow in the parking lot is plowed regularly, community laundry is available ($2.50 to wash & another $2.50 to dry), appliances are decent and rooms are in okay shape (this property is close to 20 Y/O and has wear & tear) The Not So Good: Weidner as a company has followed the nickel and diming policy of others while failing to offer additional amenities for raising your rates. You will pay more money when it comes time to renew your lease. We did every time. Dog feces stacked up significantly over the winter in the snow, but this is also a product of neighbors rather than the management and you will witness other poor social behavior from your neighbors occasionally (we did have some good neighbors and there are still some great ones there). Our chief complaint was the revolving door of property managers over the last 3-4 years (Ms. Jamie Atwood was by far the best property manager we dealt with), with the latest round being the most challenging personalities to deal with. It appears they are understaffed in the front office, so expect communication to be slow (it was for us over the last year). Bottom line - There are worse places to spend your BAH if you are a Soldier and for civilians this isn't a terrible place if you are only planning a short term stay, but I would recommend having a follow up plan in place to spend only as much time as you need to here.

The apartments are nice. The parking and location is great! The office ladies were very kind and considerate. However, Jacob Mahoney, the Community Director of this property, is the worst experience at a leasing office I have ever experienced. I don’t know why he interacted with me as a resident. Maybe he’s a nice guy? My experience was that he gives misinformation, talks in circles with metaphors about ducks, does not answer emails or questions, and over all was very hard to work with. The back and forth in emails was so vastly unnecessary to work through charges because it kept being wrong and he kept not fixing it correctly. I repeatedly communicated to him through email and asked for communication to only be through email and he continued to call me with misinformation. I asked to speak with someone else and was ignored. If I sent 3 emails in 2 weeks he only answered 1. If he said he would do something like send a document, I was ignored- someone else in the office did it. I don’t know his story or what he is going through, but he made renting such a hard experience when it doesn’t have to be and it left me feeling like he was dishonest or he just made a mistake and wasn’t owning up to it. I felt the need to say something because I tried to talk to someone else and I kept getting him, and others should be aware. If he is an honest person then the back and forth I experienced wouldn’t have gone on as long as it did after proof was provided repeatedly. Good luck to the nice office ladies at timber ridge, and Jacob- do better.

I really enjoyed living at timber ridge. I leave in a month. I’ve had awful experiences with other apartments in the past, so it makes me happy to be able to leave a good review.
At timber ridge, they’re very professional. Moving in and moving out has been seamless. They respond quickly to any questions or concerns.
The only complaint that I have is that the carpets really should have been replaced before I moved in. It’s stained and one of the rooms smells like cat pee. But they did mention that they hired people to clean the carpets, so I guess the contractor was just bad and should have been honest about the carpets not being salvageable. Gotta make that money though.
The neighbors are friendly, it’s QUIET AT NIGHT which is a huge plus for apartment complexes. I haven’t been kept up by neighbors a single time since I’ve lived here.
Overall, there’s not many apartment options in Eagle River. If you're trying to choose, Timber Ridge is a safe choice.

I have lived here almost 2 years. It is a very clean and wonderful place to live. The only problem that I have with this apartment complex is the snow and not being able to reach my door sometimes when the snow is piled up next to it. There is a dishwasher in my apartment and it is large and spacious. I am able to keep my two cats which is very nice in this day and age and the price is comparable to other places. Before I lived here, I stayed in another place had the same owners. Living in Eagle River is extremely nice. I do recommend timber Ridge to anyone who would like to live in Eagle River and who needs an apartment

My husband and I lived there for about a year and a half, we really liked our apartment, the staff was nice and twice we were able to see the northern lights from our apartment. We had some unforeseen plumbing problems and the staff was very friendly and accommodating to the situation and helped us move to an upstairs apartment.

Today was the last day of my lease i went to turn my keys and the office closed early. Almost everytime ive gone to the office they have closed early. $5 a load of laundry and raising our rent almost $300 to renew our lease. We put in a request to get our leaky bath faucet fixed 3 times and each time they would say that it was fixed without it being fixed. Do you like notice before someone enters your apartment? Me too. If you put in a maintenance request kiss that luxury goodbye i asked them the call me the day before so i could properly secure my dogs and received a VOICEMAIL as the maintenance people were in my house “ i was just calling to let you know that the maintenance people were entering your home” $5 processing fee for paying your rent. Not to mention that guest parking on the weekend is a joke on Lake St. Overall had an awful experience with Timber Ridge and wont consider renting with weidner ever again
EDIT: They took my entire deposit and are charging me an additional 300 dollars for my literally spotless apartment, like we vacuumed the cabinents. and i have photos but no one will respond to me and they are threatening to send me to collections for not paying.

We have lived at Timber Ridge on and off for 6+ years. The customer service has always been wonderful! Jamie and her team go above and beyond to assist with concerns. Repairs happen promptly, deficiencies are addressed immediately and efforts are made to give the apartment complex a community feel (community events, holiday celebrations, amenities such as a public garden and grill etc.). The apartments are bright and modern (for Alaska standards) and have all you could need. The comments about noise concerns, mentioned in other posts, are valid. The walls aren't very thick and you can occasionally hear your neighbors. That being said, it rarely feels disruptive. There are quiet hours in place that help keep everyone happy and folks living here are generally quiet and respectful of one another. When we experienced noise issues in the past, a simple conversation with our neighbors or mention to the staff generally resolved the issue. We are glad to call Timber Ridge our home and are grateful for Jamie and her team!
