Amazing service!!! My boyfriend and I are expecting a baby in a month and after being impacted by the hurricane, we had to move out of our home. With the baby arriving so soon, we were beyond stressed trying to make sure we had a safe roof over our heads, but Bri and her team at Progressive Properties made our concerns their own (even though they were ALSO impacted by the hurricane!) and helped us find a beautiful home in an extremely fast manner! They answered every question we had (and there were many LOL) and made our moving process seamless. I couldn’t be more grateful for all their help and hard work!

The person who helped me with the application was a sweet person, she was very attentive, and professional. I Have Discharged bankruptcy chapter 7 from Last year, with Solid income and good rental, and mortgage history , also acceptable credit score in Mid 600’s with almost no debt, and co-applicant In The 700’s with very little Debt income $8500 a month total . I applied for a $1400 a month rental, and After spending $120 for two applicants the Director denied the application , stating Bankruptcy the reason. Seems to be In The business of turning strong applicants down . I’m not sure if it was based on my ethnic background.

Sadly you cannot leave zero stars so this is what I am left with. I rented 138 New Woodruff Rd in Greer from June 23 - May 24. At first all seemed well and I was excited to rent a house! That all went away once I started having issue after issue after issue. The first main issue was still standing water in my dishwasher, which was supposed to be a new appliance. They sent out a gentleman that seemed to fix the issue. A week later I ran the dishwasher and BOOM! Same issue is back. The same man that came out the 1st time came out again. He told me he made progressive properties aware him and his company don’t work on Samsung appliances so he was confused to why he was there and so was I. Another person was sent out and he saw a particular piece in the dishwasher was broken and it had to be replaced. Finally the entire dishwasher was replaced. Then the HVAC system was not functioning properly. My son was 8 at the time we rented the home and we both had to walk around with winter attire on and sleep with multiple covers/blankets so we wouldn’t be freezing. After about 4-5 separate requests and many different people coming out it was finally fixed. The office floor also started to break up/apart and they told me it was because my office chair was too heavy for the floor…HUH? How is that even possible? Anything to escape accountability! Now the KICKER! There was SEWERAGE backing up into my SHOWER! There was and propbably STILL is a major plumping issue. I dealt with this particular issue from November to May with no correction or urgency to fix the issue from progressive properties. Everytime I wanted to wash my clothes I had to endure seeing whatever was flushed down the toilet come back up in the bottom of not only the main bathroom tub but the secondary bathroom tub as well. It was the most disgusting thing I’ve dealt with being a renter. Another thing that I think is absolutely ridiculous that these people do is try and evict you if you haven’t paid in full by the 11th. You can have a 12 month lease and pay 11 months in full on time and on that 12th month if your dealing with any issues financially and pay that rent after the 11th they will send your info STRAIGHT to a judge with no remorse. They did it to me and now sadly it’s hard for me to rent. I had TEN years of perfect rental history until I rented with this terrible company. I even went down to the office to try and see if they would write a formal letter for me explaining the whole situation but a man named Weston acted as though he couldn’t help me in the slightest. They also lied and told me the plumbing issue was fixed, which it wasn’t! I regret ever signing anything that had my name and their name on it.

I leased a house from Progressive Properties for a year and I would highly recommend them. They are definitely the best property management company I’ve dealt with. They respond quickly to any requests and are very pleasant to deal with. Everyone I ever communicated with was super helpful and kind. They were always fair and reasonable and will go out of their way to help.

Progressive Properties has been one of the best companies to work with while renting for our family. They were very accommodating as we tried to move in from out of state and on a deadline. Bri was very understanding and communicated well with us on things before, during, and after our time there. We always try to leave our rentals in the same or better condition than we found it (minus nail holes) but Progressive Properties has been the only company to actually recognize that and give us a more than fair portion of our security deposit back. We were shocked at how quickly they got it to us, too. They have an easy to use portal for self-help, and I would definitely recommend them to friends/family.

I have been a client of Progressive properties of Greenville for two years now and only have amazing things to say about the entire team. When I moved here and was so scared with the transition Brie was so kind and made me feel at easy signing my lease. They will build a professional relationship with you overtime and have a very easy app in which you can pay, set maintenance appointments and have everything filed so you can check and follow up on it if needed . I’m Sharing one very annoying experience during Xmas eve in which my water boiler froze outside and I kid you not the team went above and beyond and I only had interrupted service for a day. They found a contractor and I had my boiler replaced during a time that is almost impossible to reach anyone. They kept in touch with me . That meant a lot and that goes for any other few things that occurred in my beautiful rental. They respond very fast are super accommodating and get things done properly . I highly recommend this company from both a renters but also from a property owner perspective . Thank you team . I really appreciate you . Simone

At first the process of renting was easy and not so bad, they did charge me a double deposit it was I’m assuming because I didn’t have credit built at the time, I’ve have renting references and non of my past landlords every charged a double deposit on me. On the process of moving out, had a few issues with spring the front desk women, about inflicting false information about stuff I had absolute proof of wasn’t my fault, was trying to negotiate something out and it took awhile, then at the end they charged me for basic wear and tear like repainting the walls, keep in mind I was there for a year, I was obviously responsible for a window that was broken that never got fixed while I was there, some blinds, and and outlet. They will charge you for anything just so you DONT get a cent back on deposit, make sure you take pictures. They say deposits are taken very seriously but in other words they abuse that money. I wouldn’t recommend renting with these people, I could only imagine how much they would charge from a big house, and I was living at a 1 bedroom apartment very small space, I wasn’t looking forward to getting a big chunk of my deposit back, but they were not fair, all I know is what comes around goes around. Don’t be taken advantage of!
UPDATE : yes they said they spent 1,781 for turnover repairs which were cleaning supplies, and 3 men they put to clean this very small apartment, plus prep and paint a wall they “paid them” $1,045 for all that labor, which the walls is a normal wear and tear for a 1 year lease, the paint was not scuffed off it was probably dirty yes I have a toddler. They are ridiculous. They proved receipts for all the cleaning stuff, 60 count rags, they literally didn’t even need all that.

Bad experience for me when renting from Progressive Properties. I’ll start by saying that for the few months I had them as property managers, they were great with communication until it was time to move out. I originally rented a house through a different property management company until the homeowner decided to switch to Progressive a couple months before I moved out. I knew it was time to go when someone in Progressive’s front office called and rudely asked “When are you going to pay your rent” when I had never been late on a payment. The mix up was due to a miscommunication when they put a bill on my tenant portal for a payment they needed from the homeowner, aka something that had nothing to do with me. First let me say that I did not damage this house by any means, I lived in it for 2.5 years by myself and anything there when I left that wasn’t there when I moved in was nothing more than normal wear and tear. I paid to have the place cleaned before moving out, changed the air filters, and patched any nail holes in the walls (I was trying to make sure I got back as much of my deposit as possible so I wanted the house to be perfect). I even attempted to spot paint any scuffs on the wall from furniture being there but I could never match the paint since the house was left with just primer before I moved in. I know this because a contractor showed up 2 days after I moved in to finish installing the vent over the stove and we talked about all the work they had done (I don’t think this guy had anything to do with any management company). That didn’t matter to Progressive as they decided to use my security deposit to do the work needed to get the house ready for the next tenant. I was charged a $330 cleaning fee on a 900sqft home after I had already had someone come clean, as well as over $900 for painting. The kicker is that the house was never actually painted before I moved in, it was primed and left that way, so I was charged for enhancements not repairs. As if that isn’t bad enough, apparently it took over 10hrs at $90/hr to paint this small home and unfortunately for me (& maybe you in the future) Progressive chose to take all the expenses of enhancing and getting the home ready for the next tenant out of my deposit. The photos Progressive sent to try and justify them charging me so much are absolutely laughable. I was even charged for them having to replace the air filter when 1. I replaced the filters the day I moved out and 2. I EVEN LEFT AN ENTIRE BOX OF UNUSED FILTERS. Google reviews doesn’t allow video posts but I do have a video of the condition of the home at move out. At the end of the day it costed me more to MOVE OUT of the house than it did to move in.
