I have rented from Uhaul in the past and have had a good experience as well as used the storage facility in Palmer. We recently rented a 15 ft truck for the day and drove it to Eagle River, then back home and then to Uhaul. It was always in an open parking lot or driveway. We also purchased the additional insurance. It was an older truck with 130,000 miles on it, beat up, and dirty inside but it got the job done. When we turned it in, we were charged ~215 dollars for a "hole" in the top corner (it looked to be about 1-2 inches in diameter). It was located near a large dent that was there before we rented the truck. The area was likely weakened and finally gave way during transit/wind as nothing ever hit the truck. I called the main line for Uhaul and opened a case also noting that we had purchased insurance for it. The manager at Uhaul in Palmer sent a brief email stating "the hole wasn't there before you got the truck." That was it. I responded noting that there was obvious damage in the area as well as the fact we had purchased insurance. He never responded to my email. I called several times and left messages for him, no response. I went in in person and was told the manager wouldn't be seeing customers. I am upset and angry regarding what should have been an easy conversation/explanation to have. If this is how this facility treats it's customers regularly, I will not ever go back. This is not a place I would recommend doing business with.

Rented a cargo van for 8 days - very new model, ran great, very clean. The gals I worked with upon returning my rental were spectacular. It’s a simple process to return your rental and I was so surprised on how in such a short time they made me feel welcome and a part of the Uhaul family. Exceptional!

Absolutely amazing customer service. I was nervous about the process of renting and picking up/returning, but the online process was super easy, the front desk staff was quick and efficient, the individual who came out to help me hook up the equipment was so kind and showed me all the steps to get it disconnected and how to return. Would highly recommend this location to anyone and everyone.

The top of the cab had a terrible leak that leaked all over my mattress and totes. To extend my rental my total went from $127 to $239, I agreed and extended the rental. I was charged almost double what I was quoted to extend, I filled the tank past full and was still charged for fuel, called in and they said they'd refund the fuel charge and instead I now have an additional $77 charge on my account and the customer service representative was complaining to me and the other guy in line about the "crack head client he was dealing with outside," then the system was down so they couldn't complete my return and said they'd contact me when they were back up. I never got a call, just an email with a bill for $439, almost double what I was quoted and a mystery charge for $77 that no one at U-haul can figure out. I would never recommend to use this U haul!
