I have lived in NYC for over 15 years and had many different management companies between various apartment buildings, let alone three over the last few years at my current place. BEM is by far the best building management company I have had to date. Major shout out to Michael V. and his team. It's well deserved.

We all know things can and will happen in large apartment buildings in NYC. That's part of life. No one can control everything. That being said, BEM has been extremely communicative, timely, and responsive with every building issue since they took over managing my current apartment building. From minor in-unit issues (sticky door locks or leaky faucets) to full-building things (like redoing the roof or heating issues), the team overseeing our building has been stellar. If something needs fixing we receive ample warning and continued updates via email throughout any repair process.

This is a big compliment coming from a jaded NYer like myself.

Terrible management experience. Lies, bullying and unhinged behavior. Employees even complained to me about their own experiences with the Owner's erratic behavior. STAY AWAY!! They do not value tenants or their safety or promises made during tenancy. I still keep in touch with existing tenants and they complain about this company's behavior. Have a trove of emails, texts and voicemails to support this and happy to share, so you know what you are getting yourself into doing business with these people. THE WORST OF THE WORST

Aaron Shirazi showed me an incredible apartment in Manhattan just recently. Even though I did not get approved for the apartment he was super helpful throughout the application process. I appreciate his professionalism and it is a great reflection of his company as a whole. I hope to work with building equity management in the near future!

Jared Minc (of Building Equity Management LLC) has been my point person while living in my beautiful apartment for the past 3+ years. His responsiveness is unparalleled when it comes to even the most minor of issues. Every time I've reached out, Jared has been incredibly efficient and respectful. There have been numerous scenarios during which he has gone above and beyond to fix something quickly, while also coordinating logistics with multiple other parties to accommodate my own schedule. This is rare to come by. I highly recommend Jared and his company's thoughtful management style.

I never thought that I would have something nice to say about a rental company, especially in New York. But, I have had a fantastic experience with BEM. My building supervisor Alain is top tier. He is so nice and responds to service requests extremely quickly. The online payment interface doubles as the maintenance request center. It is super easy to use and convenient. When I outgrow my current apartment I will be going to them first to see what availabilities they have because I want to stay with this company as long as possible.

I contacted Michael after searching around for an apartment, the moment I spoke to him and his team I knew that I wanted to live in a building they were managing. I've been living in one of Michael Vinocur's apartment for almost 3 years. I'm so incredibly happy to be a tenant here. The building is very well taken care of. The management care about the tenants and are very thoughtful. Renting from Building Equity Management was one of the best things I've done. I would suggest you do the same.
