You are saving 1% to get an inexperienced agent which could cost you 3-5x on the sale of your home when you could hire an experienced agent and pay them 2.5% and possibly net a return in the multiples of Redfin. Good experienced agents won’t work with a firm like this, they will run their own firm.

I’m currently refinancing my house and my bank is using Redfin to get the value of my house house down the street recently sold that has less upgrades then mine for 505k . When I put the put the additional upgrades on under my home it dropped my value to 497k meanwhile the house that solds value went up to 564k I contacted redfin and received an explanation blaming the algorithms. They said it’s just an estimate not to be taken literally. My problem with this is the info is inaccurate and the bank is using it to determine the value of my home and it appears the info they are providing is incorrect. No resolution has been made.

We have had two experiences with Redfin now and both were awful. Then they pummel us with emails we don't want. We will be intentionally avoiding redfin listings and agents from now on. They've wasted enough of our time.
