I’ve had such a wonderful experience living at El Cordova Apartments! The property is always well-maintained, and the amenities like the resort-style pool and fitness center make it feel like a true community. My apartment is spacious, with modern finishes that really make it feel like home.

A special shout-out to Cassandra in the leasing office! She’s been incredibly helpful and always goes above and beyond to make sure residents are happy. Whether it’s answering questions, addressing concerns, or just being friendly and welcoming, Cassandra truly makes a difference.

If you’re looking for a comfortable and convenient place to live in Carson, I highly recommend El Cordova Apartments!

The worst apartment complex I’ve ever lived in. The mailboxes are constantly broken into, and mail gets stolen daily—zero security or care about tenant property. The apartments themselves are old and falling apart, with no effort to maintain or upgrade them. The management is beyond rude; the new manager won’t even acknowledge you when you’re in the office. It’s as if tenants are a nuisance, and she always seems too busy to address anyone’s concerns. Stay far away from this place!

As a current resident i can say this place is a disappointment! Let's start off with the High rent for these run down apartments not to mention the activity happening at nights here with either certain residents that bring their nonsense and guest messing up the whole complex with people hanging out late nights that don't live here or just ghetto people that be hopping the fence and doing their activities here! We caught people hanging out just looking into the cars around the parking structures. Let's not talk about how people mails get stolen each time it's dropped off on top of the mail boxes had my stuff stolen i dont know how many times!!!!! Too many rules on what you can do with your balcony or what you can have their with out them constantly sending letters to remove stuff. Not to mention the Rude people living in here. I suggest people look else where there's cheaper apartments out their or just save your money with all the money you would spend here you can get a cheaper mortgage.

The management is a total fraud. They initially gave me appointment for touring their place. I told them that I was an immigrant from Pakistan and required a place for my family to live. When I had chosen an apartment, they asked me to submit application , and after that they verifiede through 'Two dots' . But when my credentials were verified, they started making lame excuses and then informed me that the apartment had been leased out to someone else.
Horrible people who can't keep their commitments and waste others time in greed of amassing revenue through applications.
Shame on them.

I went here to see the property, as I'm currently looking for an apartment. The grounds are nice, and the apartment is very spacious. Staff was decently pleasant. Stacy was really nice and presentable. Much better than other leasing agents I've talked to in the area.

I thought long and hard and decided I'm not going to proceed with this property. I wanted to, as the apartment is nice, but as I walked into the unit that was newly open, I saw a roach on the ceiling and fell to the floor, almost on top of me. I'm sorry, but that's disgusting. I wanted to like this place, but considering the tenant pays all utilities, including a $25 parking fee for 1 car, I don't see it being worth it. The property needs serious TLC before I can consider signing a lease here.

I also read a lot of reviews about the property. I wanted to like this one, but I guess my search continues

I would like to give a shout-out to Stacie, one of the leasing agents. She was really nice and informative.

Misleading Ad Photos:
The ad to this property is misleading. They had photos of renovated units on their online listings, but there are only 5 units renovated, and have no plans in the future to renovate. They should consider taking those photos down since those units are not for show and won't be available in the near future.

Size of the unit:
We were looking for a 1bed, which had a decent size closet, bedroom, vanity separate from toilet/shower, living room, and patio. The kitchen was small, tight counter space, and not enough cupboard storage (to our standards). The dishwasher and kitchen counters are also outdated, and they don't plan on updating it. The 2 kitchen sinks are really shallow and small. The patio balcony is a good size, and has a storage. You can fit a whole patio furniture set and bar stools if that's your vibe, connecting to the kitchen window.

Optional mirror walls:
You have an option to remove the mirrored walls upon request, which is good that they offer this, given it's a bit of an eye-sore.

Pool/Bbq:
The "resort" style pool is spacious, updated lounge chairs, there is lots of picnic table areas by the bbqs, however, they require you to notify the office if you have more than 2 guests with you. Why do they need to be in their residents business?

Gym:
The gym equipment is outdated. The sauna doesn't work due to a resident pouring water over the hot stone to let it "steam"..but they just ended up breaking it.

Laundry:
There are 2 community laundry facilities in the complex. You have to load a physical card with $ in order to pay for washer and dryer. They don't have the capabilities to pay your laundry through an app -- again, outdated.

Parking:
The parking is either 1 assigned for 1 bd, or 2 assigned for 2bd. Anything extra, you have to get on a waitlist for a paid parking spot. There is free street parking on Champion for those residents/guests who don't have an assigned parking. I am not sure how safe this is, given there are previous reviews on car break-ins.

Security & Maintenance:
There are 1 or 2 maintenance workers who live on-site. You can submit a maintenance request form in the office, which the turn-around time is within 24hr period. There is security patrol in the complex from 5pm-2am everyday. Stacie said the security is there for purposes such as noisy pets, or couples fighting (domestic violence, perhaps?)

Dog Park:
The dog park is located in the back of the complex. It is gated, and spacious. There is also a bath station for your furry friend. This dog park is what drew my attention to this complex. They have poop bag stations throughout the complex too.

Conclusion:
This complex sets their price below market for a reason. If you are on a budget and don't care if your living situation is outdated/not aesthetic, this place might work out for you. But if you have the financial flexibility to make ends meet, this is not the place for you.

I pass by these apartments on my way to the gym and they definitely look rundown. That's why I came on here to see the reviews. It's Carson, so I know they are expensive. I wanted to see how much people were actually paying for the "trash." Looks old. Rust trailing down the outside walls. The amount people are paying to rent those units could be used for a house note.

the lack of attention to maintenance and security at El Cordova Apartments. Despite repeated requests for action, the property management has continually neglected to address critical issues, leading to severe consequences for the residents.

The lack of updates and maintenance within the apartments is alarming. Recent inspections have only been superficial, focusing solely on the functionality of lights, while crucial issues such as burst pipes have been disregarded. These pipe bursts have resulted in extensive flooding, causing significant damage to the apartment's carpeting, floors, lighting, and personal belongings. Regrettably, the management at El Cordova has not taken the necessary steps to rectify these damages.

Furthermore, the security concerns at El Cordova Apartments are distressing. Our vehicles have been broken into on three separate occasions, despite our pleas for the installation of security cameras. Additionally, the property management's decision to tow our vehicles due to supposedly unclear registration, while providing false information to the towing company about parking violations, is an unacceptable breach of trust and integrity.

It is imperative that immediate action be taken to rectify these issues and ensure the safety and well-being of all residents at El Cordova Apartments.
