I wanted to share my experience in working with Ann Borowski-Bitter and Carolyn Chesnut through the Real Manage Palm Desert Office. Ann and Carolyn are very responsive to the needs of our property and the individual owners as well. They return phone calls and emails within 24 hours and repairs as also completed within 24 of a report. They are great property managers and show real interest in the well being of our property and the comfort of the owners. Thank you Carolyn and Ann for all your hard work. I feel good knowing our property is being well looked after.

Ann and Carolyn, from RealManage, oversee our Jasmine HOA and have provided exceptional service since taking over. Requests from the Board are handled quickly and followed to completion. As the Treasurer, I find the online accounting system gives me access to up-to-date information in every and any form you could possibly want. I would recommend RealManage as a HOA management service.

Since I purchased this condominium, I have received many letters from the HOA crafted by Miss Berg: the items of concern to her have been: 1) empty pots on the porch, 2) my cargo van parked in the lot (she claimed that it was unregistered but it had a valid temporary plate on it), 3) that I am living in my condominium and am failing to open and close the window blinds regularly and that I am using the air conditioning day and night. I had my lawyer send her a cease-and-desist letter and she answered by saying that the letter doesn't mean anything to her because I'd already sold the van.

Last May, the parking lots and the private drive around the complex was to be repaved. She had a sandwich board-type sign placed at the entrance to the complex stating the dates of the work and nothing else. The night before the repaving, I came home about 15:00 and retired. I was awakened at 8:00 by the workmen who asked me to move the car. After I'd returned home, she had caused some paper bills to be posted around the complex directing us to park our cars in another part of the complex for three days while the work is done. My car wouldn't start (it had been parked without use for more than a year) and so the asphalt paver called a tow company and refused to allow me to call the auto club to restart my car. The tow cost me $463.

However, the towing company (Mohawk) destroyed my car during the tow and then refused to indemnify me. The stated that they were not liable for damages because they had been called to tow the car (they do not understand what bailments are, it seems). My car was worth $3,800. I asked Gold Coast to reïmburse the towing fee but was refused flatly.

And to add insult to injury, Sherri added a $100 fee to my account for completing the task or ringing the tow company.

Since then I have had many other problems including taking 19 months to update my new telephone number on the directory (during that time I had to walk to the gate to admit visitors) and not informing us that there was a change in billing company for our HOA dues (this company doesn't actually do anything themselves but contract every little thing to outside companies).

Also, the deed is in my husband's name and this manager always tries to marginalise my complaints by saying that I am not the "owner." But we gay couples are used to having our relationships marginalised by the hegemonic society we live in.

It’s so refreshing to work with these guys! The staff is friendly, professional, dedicated, helpful and very knowledgeable. They always address my questions and concerns promptly. With their guidance our community has protected our overall value which in turn helps me protect my personal investment in my home. I recently had some work done on my driveway, I had a few questions they answered quickly and I was able to proceed smoothly.
