Barb and her team helped us purchase a home in 2014 and 2018. She sold our first home and my fathers home after he passed. They are an incredible team and put all they have into finding you the perfect house for you, and walking you through the entire process. Well over due. This guy Chip was the best guy ever , he helped me for a very long time no rushing never pushing me always listening great guy.. I am so pleased to say that I recently worked with Barb at Preferred Properties to both sell my home and buy a multi family property in Burlington Vermont. She was amazing and handled so many curve balls due to Covid (such as Appraisers not being able to enter the home or fire marshals not being able to inspect) with grace and success. I still can't believe she made it all work! She was incredibly knowledgeable about the financing side and the things to look for during home inspections (didn't leave my side for the 4 hour inspection) and the real estate market as a whole. I felt like she really listened to my goals and preferences and made it fun, though it was during a tough time. I highly recommend her and her team at Preferred Properties!

Curtis Trousdale truly is one of "The Land and Lake Guys". He's been very helpful and super knowledgeable about anything regarding land and building a home on raw land etc. Very responsive, which is rare when people don't see a $ sign of what they'll get in return for helping someone. A real estate agent myself I appreciate the detailed information, consider me wowed by his knowledge! 🏘

We made an offer on a property Curtis was representing, he countered and we agreed, taking written-but not contract signed-agreement that the deal was done. Curtis made this agreement without his seller's consent (as the seller later informed me). However, they insisted I fly across the country and see the land first hand rather then sign the contract immediately and then list the visit as a contingency. I flew out, saw the property, sent the agreed contract over, and then he sold the property to someone else. This is not a realtor you should do a "handshake' deal with. Demand it in a contract.
