Just started renting a property from stone and browning. It’s been a poor start with this company. It’s been over 2 weeks and still no response for trash removal which is supposed to be included. They responded to snow removal but they plow poorly. Can’t be bothered to remove snow on stairs or drop some salt for ice. There say to use their portal for issues and requests. No response there or when you call The office your information is taken and do not have the common decency of a call back or any respond. After our punch list they did respond to the handle on the refrigerator and leveling out the fridge because the floor is not level. Any other question still have not heard a response. Paying a lot for a newly renovated apartment thought there would be better response. Not sure what they are managing

Horrible communication and customer service. I began renting in September, was told because of Labor Day weekend the unit might not be exactly move-in-ready, as they have “high standards” for their units; but promised that the updates would be made soon after moving in. Jesse didn’t respond for over a month when I asked about these updates and the status, then told me they won’t be happening. Simple things such as paint, which he stated they couldn’t do because they can’t color match! Unbelievable. I could go on and on.

Recently applied for an apartment and was denied. I am good enough to co sign with the knowledge that I was renting myself and what all my bills are, but not to rent one myself. When I asked about an apartment for myself was told no I couldn’t afford it even tho it was less then the current rent I am paying. I have never missed a payment . The apartment I co signed for rent comes out of my checking account and on auto pay. I am such a slacker … paying on auto pay… your right I can’t be trusted. This agency is a joke !

My roommate and I have rented from Stone and Browning Property Management for 5 years. Their maintenance staff is incredible: friendly and clearly communicate with us. Our pup is a bit of a nervous nelly and their communication helps us know when to move him into a quiet space for them. The online portal for rent payments and lease review is convient. We would most likely continue renting from them if not for buying a home. From the positive reviews from property owners: if we ever have a space to rent, we would probably go with Stone and Browning.

Family member dodged a bullet with this joke of a “business”.
Took 25$ and did not even process any of the information that they were given.
Places like this will try to pinch you for every dollar they can, with fees and penalties everywhere. Dodge a bullet and don’t buy into their scheme of offering housing.

I am a 35 year commercial real estate broker. I recently worked as a tenant broker consultant on a retail lease in downtown Barre with Reuben Stone as listing agent & property manager. I simply could not be more impressed with him. From start to finish he was transparent, honest, respectful, knowledgeable & responsive. He was a consummate professional throughout the transaction. It truly was a pleasure to work with him. I highly recommend him & if I could give him more than five stars I would as he deserves them.

They basically refused to rent to me because I "couldn't verify my income," despite sending them a mountain of paperwork including bank statements. I'm a nurse and disabled veteran using VRE/GI Bill stipends to support myself and it more than covers COL. Their management team was literally incapable of comprehending this, despite multiple days of arguing with them, including reward letters and VA documentation. They refused to listen and kept insisting it wasn't enough proof. No wonder my demographic ends up homeless all the time in your state lmao.
