We were selling at a personally challenging time and Karen's knowledge and expertise relieved our trepidation and gave us deep confidence in the process. Karen's advice of how to prepare our home for the sale was spot on. The pricing and coordination of all the steps including day by day communication once the house hit the market was perfect. One last thing, we encountered difficulties fitting everything into the moving truck on closing day and called Karen in a panic. We met Katie Fischer while visiting the area and striking up a conversation at a restaurant. Katie reached out to us a few weeks later and thus began the search for our home in the Adirondacks! Over the course of several months we shared property ideas back and forth (we live in Philadelphia) and decided to meet up right before the holidays in December 2023. After a long day of looking at houses that didn't quite fit our needs we saw a fantastic log home right before dark. Just days before Christmas, Katie got us back in the house in the daylight and make a competitive offer before we had to go home to join our family. Katie was super communicative all throughout the process which gave us such comfort especially due to the fact we live over 6 hours away. She helped us navigate some of the issues we had with the house by bringing in relevant professionals to troubleshoot plumbing, etc. Katie Fischer perhaps shows even more excellence after the deal closes. Since we closed on the house, Katie has introduced us to numerous people including a contractor, decorator, caretaker and locksmith. All of her referrals have been outstanding. I had a horrible experience with this realtor. The owner assigned an agent, who never showed my house. The other agent who I was never introduced to did know nothing about my house left the doors of my property open four times, even though I had explained to them that I live in Ma and I have to trust that everything gets locked up. Not only did this happen four times, there was no apology. No acknowledgement. He took my listing off while still under contract after I posted this review. Margo Philo broke the contract.
This is not about not selling my house. My house was in perfect condition until the basement was flooded in July and all was fixed within six weeks. Again changing the facts. NY raltor association has been informed and legal action will follow.
