Stowe Cabins in the Woods - Waterbury Center, Vermont

I can't say enough good things about this place. The cabins are tucked in the woods, offering some privacy compared to other accommodations in the area. Super dog friendly! The owners are always happy to see my pups and there is plenty of space to play and walk them in the woods. The cabins are economical and cozy but not cramped. I feel it is well worth the price. I've stayed here three times now and it has always been an excellent experience.

Our cabin was exactly as advertised and it was everything we needed for our ski trip. It felt rustic and secluded, but was close to everything. The cabin was very clean and toasty warm! This was an amazing find for our family and two pups.|Cell service was no issue, the WiFi worked well.|The office was easy to communicate and work with. We will definitely be back!!

Loved staying here for a quiet cozy getaway for two.
The owners were so friendly and accomodating and the cabin itself was clean and fully equipped.

Location was fantastic- 15 min from bustling restaurants and bars, 5 min from a grocery store and lots of local (and touristy) things around.

Will definitely stay here again.

The cabin was quite large one room. It had a sofa, bed, half bath and a king size bed. The other room had a queen size bed, a chair, and a double closet right next to the full sized bathroom. A living room dining room open plan. Kitchen was narrow but extremely long and tons of kitchen cabinets. They had everything available that they listed a coffee maker, a functioning stove, full sized fridge, pots, pans, cups plates. Would definitely rent from them again

We stayed in Cabin 8, mid-Sept. The location is excellent and central to see/access VT. Coffee roaster directly on the drive in, in case you don't want to make your own coffee in the cabin. Kitchen was stocked with all we needed, gas grill, table and chairs on the deck, A/C. Rustic cabin filled with quaint decorations with modern amenities; exactly what we wanted. Wifi is a little slow, but that was fine with us, we enjoyed the quiet, wooded setting. Used the clean tub for an Epsom salt soak after a hard day of hiking. Soap provided, but bring your own shampoo, etc. The night view of the sky is spectacular, the Milky Way was bright and dense with stars, satellites zooming across the sky (7-8 PM is the best time, fyi), and very few bugs. We are okay with a dark sky and no ambient light and didn't need a large lantern/flashlight. Staff is friendly and helpful, including Lady, the dog. We would consider a return trip in the winter, sleds and other rentals available in the office. VT was my 40th state in the US, also traveled to 32 countries.

Quaint get- away in the woods. 5 minute ride to restaurants, pubs. Gas fireplace was wonderful! Will return for sure!

Love love love this place. I came here with my parents and someone else in 2019? Maybe 2018, I don't remember. It was a blast. I came here again recently by myself (for the first time) to get away from daily life and it was once again a great time, an easy time. In the morning, it was a little chilly but I made coffee and breakfast and went out to the trails around there. The birds chirping is sooo nice! Brings me back to my parents backyard, which I just love. I will of course be back again sometime.

PS If you have a chance to drive down to the Cabot cheese factory please do so!

This is my second stay here and it is the perfect spot for a quiet getaway. All of the cabins except one are pet-friendly and my two dogs loved every minute as well. The owners are super kind and cabins are clean and well-stocked with everything you need. It’s so nice to be such a short distance from all the great things Stowe and Waterbury have to offer. We’ll definitely be back!
