I have been with keens crossing since October of 2022, and I really enjoy it here! It’s a great location that is close to Burlington but also offers walking distance restaurants, local shopping opportunities and nature. In the spring/summer there is an outdoor farmers market every Sunday as well, which I LOVE! The location is right by the river which offers walking trails, and a big field for dogs to play. If you want to further your education CCV is right across the street as well! Diane, the property manager is professional, helpful, understanding and informative. The maintenance guy is always helpful and pleasant/trustworthy as well. It’s a bit expensive in my opinion, unfortunately that’s the market we live in. But this pet friendly apartment has treated me pretty well!

hi so a year ago now. I was told by the very nice and helpful staff member that there would be a appointment opening for my mom in 6 months. I was looking for a place for my mom closer to me. she is on disability and she qualified for there low income program they have. So I got my mom the application to fill out and her caseworker mailed it out for here. it's been a year now and still have not herd from them or my mom about the application she filled out. I have called 3 times with in a year and left a voice mail and they have not called me or my mom back. I am very disappointed in the lack of communication and or follow up on there application and calls. Por business habits.

The application is a joke. Social security which had nothing to do with renting a place to live, and they pretty much want every except a stool sample.
All for what? To risk your life in a slum like Winooski 🤣
No wonder people prefer tents compared to this diluted market that is so out of touch with reality it's comical.

Pros - There’s a pet wash and a gym. The staff are nice and helpful. Maintenance does a nice job. Cons- Some residents don’t pick up after their dog which is frustrating.

My experience while I have lived at Keens Crossing has been amazing. The on site office staff are very friendly, polite and diligent in their dedication to all renters. The maintenance personnel work extremely hard and are quick to respond and fix anything that might need repair. I have never before seen such true professionalism and mindfulness of the needs of all renters than I have personally observed from that of all Keens Crossing staff.

Office hours are not great, most people work up until 5pm, which the office is closed. There needs to be at least one day a week where the office is open up to 7pm. The office hours use to have one day where it was open that late. Plus, received an eviction notice stating I did not adhere to the policy about reinstating, which I sat in the person's office and filled out all the paperwork. I did receive an envelope that had paperwork for me to fill out with a sticky note stating the date by which they need it by of 2/15/2019 and today's date is only 2/5/2019. Plus, I getting tired of individuals blocking the entrance in getting into the garage. There are pick up areas where people can wait or talk. I am tired of seeing people pile their garbage at the entrance to the dumpsters and recycling. It nasty and unpleasant. Plus, there is no need for that especially when there are two empty dumpsters not more than 7 feet away. I am tired of feeling bumping around coming from down stairs apartment especially when it is at around 9pm and I trying to relax. I am tired of smelling marijuana in the hallways, the elevators, I tired of smelling trash coming from apartments. I really don't like not finding parking in the garage closet to my apartment building especially when I pay for this and it is the only means I have. There needs to be a limit to how many cars people have or this will get worse. If at the time of when people first came to these apartments they had one car then that is what they should continue to be able to have. I tired of seeing people visiting and having parking spaces lost to their guests, I not complaining if they stayed in a space just to go up quickly to use the bathroom in an emergency which happened to one of my guests because all the 15 minutes free parking were being utilized and there was no parking on the streets. So I did let her in to use the bathroom. So this has been my experience since I been living year for just over a year.

I would say that Keen's Crossing is a good place to live. It's conveniently located by several restaurants, bars, and of course the Winooski River. The apartments are nice and come with the basic amenities one needs. If you like to fish the river is only just right outside for you to go fishing. There's also a small grocery store just right downstairs just in case you forgot something while going grocery shopping.

Unfortunate and unpredictable event with a recent water main burst that displaced many people from their homes. This was bad enough, but the misleading, poor communication from management over the last 2 months while tenants are forced into homelessness has shown the company to be disorganized and grossly mismanaged. A 200 square foot motel room with a bed and a pull out sofa is NOT the equivalent accommodation to an overpriced 2 bedroom apartment without an included parking space. Would only consider renting here as a last resort, and unfortunately this may be the only choice for many who depend on the affordable housing units within this development. Money hungry out of state company feeding off underprivileged people in this wonderful Vermont community.
