This place is never open they hardly answer the phone, hours change all the time. The town office is very disorganized, they have “misplaced” thousands of tax payer dollars and some how keep getting away with it. A major investigation needs to be done with an outside forensic accountant. Most recently they lost around 30k of tax payer money that was sent to them to pay for land and house taxes. The checks were cashed over a three year period and tax payers are still being told they have not paid their home taxes and the town is threatening many with tax sales. Even after proving that the taxes have been paid the town will continue to bully people until they pay more. They do not provide any means to respond to these letters no phone numbers or emails to respond to They lie to townspeople and refuse to be transparent about we’re the money is being spent. This is not the only large amount of tax payer money missing. Many of us strongly believe some sort of embezzlement is going on and has been going on for many years.
