I am a real estate broker from another state. When my daughter decided to buy in the Brattleboro area, I did my research to assure she had found an experienced and ethical Buyer’s Agent. Steve is, hands down, both of those - and more. Speaking frankly, it is always an unexpected pleasure when I find a fellow broker who sees the profession as a calling to serve others, rather than just a means to make money. For Steve, quality of service comes first. Making a fair living is just what happens when you keep your priorities straight. My daughter and her fiancée just closed on their third home in the area. Once again, they are entirely pleased with, and grateful for, Steve’s service.

Steve was our Buyer's Agent for our recent house purchase, in Newfane VT. This was an especially challenging time to buy a house, because Covid lockdowns were starting and nobody was entirely sure how things would work. We're very happy we found Steve to represent our interests. As inexperienced buyers we were unsure of a lot - internet research helps, but it leaves a lot of gaps. How exactly does one negotiate on a purchase this large? What are the local peculiarities & customs of the area? What are the red flags one should look for when visually inspecting a house? How does one come up with a fair price? And so on. While navigating these particulars, he was very clear, thoughtful and careful regarding the legalities of the information he could divulge.

Steve educated us on the house buying process. He also drew up a contract that included Covid-related language which protected our interests. At no point did we ever get the feeling that Steve was doing anything but vigorously advocating for our interests.

Aside from being an all-around professional, he’s also a really nice guy who seems to love sharing area knowledge, which made the whole process more informative than painful.

We closed on schedule in May, and now own a home we're very happy with!
