A great place for a winter vacation! Conveniently located between two major Ski Resorts (Okemo and Killington), this warm attractive cottage offers easy access, wonderful amenities with plenty of extras. The house is spacious but cozy. It is very dog-friendly. The view of Lake Amherst is spectacular at sunrise; when you are enjoying an outdoor activity, it is a beautiful backdrop. A great place to get together for a large family vacation. Wonderful owner, would definitely stay there again.

What a WONDERFUL cottage this is!! My family from Ohio stayed here June 9-12, 2017, when they visited for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary celebration and fell in love. It is spacious with the all the creature comforts one could want while still maintaining a lake house feel. The big screened-in porch that overlooks Lake Amherst was a special treat. (The views of Lake Amherst are spectacular!) This cottage should be in "Country Living" magazine! The owner, Alecia, is very easy to work with and responsive. This is a must-stay if you're going to be in this area...you won't be sorry!

This beautiful space found me! It appeared on my feed and I’m so glad I followed the link! We’ve stayed at the cottage, twice, so far! Spacious, clean, quaint yet up to date, this camp has everything you could possibly want and/or need! The owners have thought of every last detail...from fully stocked kitchens to luxurious linens.. right down to the magnifying mirrors in the bathrooms ladies! My favorite spots are the porch and the “tree house room” (that’s what we called it!) upstairs, over the porch. The camp itself, as well as the surrounding areas, have something for everyone. The lake is perfect for kayaking and taking our lab swimming- she loved it as much as we did. This place has become one of our favorites.

Spent another great week at the camp. Alecia came up to change the propane for the outdoor grill. She is a Bubba Burger specialist. Absolutely loved the peace and quiet. Next year!!!

Just had another wonderful week at the Vermont Cottage. Forgot my allergy medicine and I was a mess. Alecia went to UPS and got my medicine! She saved our week! Her husband also spent time teaching us kayaks. Overall, they look after us and help make our week peaceful. thanks!! Jess

LOVE THIS LAKE COTTAGE!! When I read "it needs to be "THAT" special place" in the owner's description - I knew it was going to be wonderful!! We're definitely going back! Luckily booked already! The calendar fills up fast. The whole week we bbq, kayaked, swam & took walks in the peaceful wooded area. The Lake is right there at the front door and there's a great screened in porch over looking it. We also love to have a night fire and there was a huge fire pit with wood ready to burn. We were lucky to be there during a Full Moon and sitting outside by the fire pit and bright enough to cook somemores was the best!
We can't wait to return!! Thank you Alecia this stay was just what we needed! All 8 of us!
