We stayed here a few weeks ago. It is a gorgeous property! The place was very clean. We were able to stock a full-size fridge and cook meals during our stay. The pool wasn't available just yet, because it was still chilly, but they were getting it ready for the summer. I'd love to come for a stay during the summer. That would have been the cherry on top to have a private pool. Only possible downfall, depending on your outlook, is there's not really a tv to watch unless you're walking the treadmill. For my 16 year old gaming son this was a nightmare. For me, however, it simply meant more quality time spent as a family playing games. The upstairs conference room was spacious and just as gorgeous as the rest of the property. I would highly recommend this to anyone traveling in the area, whether for quality family time, business, or a quiet romantic getaway. Whatever the reason, this property is sure to please!

Great staff and an amazing property filled with history. My wife and I enjoyed the Carriage house and the peaceful walks by the river at sunrise and sunset. 5 stars- every detail. The pool was an added bonus! We even met the master gardener who shared a few tips - Thank you! Highly recommend and look forward our next visit.

We attended a wedding at this estate on the fourth weekend in May. The view of the ponds with running fountains and the river was beautiful despite the drought. The couple made their vows on the steps of the Colonial house. The reception was held in the backyard area under a large spacious tent. Whom ever the bride & groom had that coordinated and catered did a terrific job. It was nice to be able to enter the guest house area to use the restrooms. The gardens were pruned and gorgeous. I was told from the groom’s mother that the stay at the houses was great. I would rate this as a terrific venue!

We toured Hampstead Estate in Jan. 2024 and found it amazing. Nathan conducted about 20 of us around the house and grounds, answering questions and relating the long history of this landmark. If you have the chance to see this mansion being restored, take it. It's so interesting to see how it was built and how they are dealing with repairs. I wish that I could be a part of this venture, as this is right up my alley. History and restoration. Such an exciting future for Hampstead!

Beautiful. The staff is amazing and it is a wonderful place for an event or wedding. I highly recommend that if you are looking for a majestic place to host your next gathering that you give Cumberland a look.

Disappointing. Even after responding on the review that they wanted me to reach out, they never addressed my concerns and did not even care to acknowledge my email. Be aware that a " half a day" of hunting for $600 a person really equals about an hour and a half. Also, the cottages they advertise are not even on the property but they forget to mention that with the sales pitch.

The worst wedding venue experience. We were greeted at the appointment with “What do you want”; shown a house that was not part of a package; and told the owner “doesn’t like having weddings” on the property.
