Stayed at the marina last night. We got in late, but Mark at the marina gave us great directions and instructions. The slip was sheltered and the showers were great. Very scenic and quiet. This is now a waypoint for us on the Potomac!

Stay away. This marina is horrible. We got overcharged and when I called them about it they hung up on me. There bathrooms are terrible. Dirty and claustrophobic. The gas docks had such a strong current that it is better not to use them. We stayed at the boathouse marina on the way back from DC and that was a wonderful experience.

Very nice beach. My only concern was that the local police picked and chose what policies to enforce. There was no grilling and we bought food to keep warm with burners. We did not grill. We were told that we could not use burners. There were not suppose to be dogs on the beach. I saw dogs. Some were smoking on the beach.

Great place to stop. I was travel in my boat down to NC and a new boater at that. Gave great directions to the slip. Has anything you'd need and if they don't have there is transportation (not free) that will get you to where you wanna go close by. Abit higher priced than average but reasonable considering the location is not in the middle of nowhere.

Got a great price with a Groupon. It was my boyfriend's first time kayaking, so they provided us with a little handbook to go through before heading out. They were very very friendly and we had a great time kayaking!
