We went specifically to check out Fossil Beach. I love sharks and went in search of shark teeth. Only found one, but better than none. The visitor center was very nice. The trail to the beach wasn't bad, just over half a mile. Overall, really cool place! Definitely going back!

First time at this beautiful park and won't be the last. Beautiful main beach that's great for swimming, bbq, picnic tables. Fossil Beach is very pretty, and a bit of a walk. Know that the walk out is all uphill. I found 2 little shark teeth. I tent camped for 2 nights. Campsites are very pretty. Bathroom and showers were clean. Had a nice relaxing time.

Nice park! About a half mile walk to get to Fossil Beach to sift the sand for Sharks teeth. The visitors center has snakes and turtles that the kids enjoyed going to see.

Great place for a family trip.

While fossil beach is a lot of fun, itโ€™s quite a hike if youโ€™re taking a bunch of gear or have small children.

The beach at the picnic area is much easier and still lots of fun.

The Beaches, and The Big Meadow Trail are epic! Visitor Center is really nice! The drive to the state park is really under-ratedly scenic! My only complaint is that they should call it Eastmoreland. I think they forgot they werenโ€™t in Western Virginia. Itโ€™s alright tho, I forgive them.

Stayed in cabin #4. It's an efficiency and is plenty of room for a couple. Full bath and fully equipped kitchen. Queen bed was comfortable. Cabin was well kept with heat and AC. Huge front porch with fire pit and grill close to the cabin. Very quiet and relaxing at night.

We were on a weekend camping trip in Campground A, on A10. The site was well maintained with enough personal space and nature. We had view into the woods which was awesome. Restrooms were not clean and in bad condition. The trails are great, the rangers too. We Didi the junior ranger program and loved it. Check it out it is definition worth it. Playground and fossil beach are great for children too.

Favorite State Park with so much to see. Coyote crossed the road at the beginning of the park.
