CVA is a great company to work with. During a very busy time of year, it was the only company willing to give me a detailed bid even though there would be a long lead time for the appointment. The surveyors arrived on the date scheduled, had already completed some of the measurement reference points before entering the property, and reviewed the job order with me before starting work on the property. In some cases I wasn’t sure how to ask for what I needed and all employees were extremely helpful in explaining terminology to make sure the work met my needs. I highly recommend this company and would not hesitate to use their services again.

I just wanted to let people know that Chehalis Valley Associates recently helped us by locating our property line. They went above and beyond by placing several markers along the property line clearly indicating the lines. We were very impressed by their thoroughness and and professionalism.

Worst service. They surveyed a piece of property that suppose to be a subdivision and separate a piece of land and we’re told to go 25ft west of a land mark and when they surveyed the property they put the boundary line 25ft south of that structure. They claimed that they did what they were told and the legals were signed off on. I didn’t personally have the survey done so I don’t know what was originally said, but even if something was relayed incorrectly you would think as a professional survey company you wouldn’t separate someone’s patio, gate and fenced in portion on the property they planned on keeping. Also the approach road and perk holes that were dug were located on the original property not the property that was being separated. One would think that hey maybe I was told wrong or wrote down the wrong information and check with the property owner to be sure they don’t want the patio etc. and let them know that the road and perk holes aren’t on the property they planned on selling. I’m pretty sure they just messed up and won’t cop to it because Not once was I told or anyone told that where the lines were drawn is where the property lines would be and I dealt with the person doing the subdivision. South of the structure wasn’t even brought up it was always west. Here nor there what’s done is done so I go in to try and get it corrected instead of them admitting or saying a mistake could have happened on their end he argued with me and said if he made a mistake he could easily fix it but instead he decided to make us pay for a boundary line adjustment which would require a whole new survey and a lot more money so I did this just to get it over with. Few years later the bank needs a copy of the survey but it needs to be re-certified within a year. So I called and left multiple messages with no returned call. When I finally talked with someone there I was told they would have to do a brand new survey “even though nothing has changed on the property” and they wouldn’t be able to do anything for a few months. At this point I was pretty frustrated and brought up the fact that they made a mistake originally and we really needed this done he got very mad said he didn't make a mistake and that he doesn't have time for this and hung up on me…. Ask yourself this: if you were a surveyor and knowing this was going to be a subdivision and sold to a different owner would you knowingly cut a property line through someone’s patio cutting off 2 gates used to get the horses to a different portion of the field? Cut off where their boat is being stored? Where their RV is being stored? Where their fenced in garden is and seeing the perk holes and approach road on the wrong side of the property line? Or would make a quick phone call to the property owner that is paying thousands to get this done knowing that if it is done wrong it will cost them thousands of more dollars and years of headaches with the bank and county and say “hey, are you sure this is where you want the property line?” Use someone else even if it is more money now it will save you the headache and money in the long run
