Jan Neutz (VMI) is a competent, detail-oriented, and knowledgeable person who quickly understood exactly what I was looking for in a prospective tenant. She composed an excellent, detailed ad for my rental and knew how to price it fairly. Two different, but excellent possible renters for me to choose from responded in record time. She crafted a comprehensive rental agreement for the renter, helped me avoid several mistakes I would have made without her advice, and the entire project was smooth and worry-free. After 10 years of trying to do all this on my own I knew exactly how much anxiety I was saving myself by asking her to do the job. She knows this business, and I recommend her without reservation.

We used VMI Property Management for our rental properties on Vashon. We find VMI very responsive to our needs. Jan Neutz does an excellent job finding quality long term tenants. She provides great financial reports on a timely basis. Jan maintains good relations with the tenants. She appears to respond to their needs on a timely basis, keeping them as satisfied long term renters. In summary, we highly recommend Jan's company VMI.

I was a tenant of VMI Property Management for five years. They were always professional, responsive, polite, and clearly communicated with myself and the owner. Any issues we had (from leaky spigots to broken bathroom fans) were dealt with in a timely manner. Highly recommend!

Be very careful that everything discussed with Jan is in writing in the lease and worded correctly. When she rushed us through signing the lease before the walkthrough, I had mistakenly trusted her and am paying the price everyday that I have to do laundry off of the island.

When calling for a listing on a house. I would assume that it would be within my rights to ask why the tenant needs to be single and have no dogs. That shows a lot of red flag. The woman I was speaking to was not only rude by lying and saying “oh I think I have to go I am getting another call” when I am a client trying to get information. Very unprofessional! Note that not everyone is trying to argue or be rude due to a restriction on a property. When I stated that I had three dogs she started getting rude with me and do guess didn’t understand that there are people who are capable of going “ okay no dogs” “next question” but when your “professional” response is “I don’t think you understand me she will not let you have three dogs so you have to tell me what your doing to do with your animals” “there is no point of talking if your not going to tell me your not going to have them. AFTER stating that I would give them to my mother in-law ! This is very sad and disappointing in a company!
