Need eggs? They have you covered at the Point Roberts International Market! We were curious to see how prices compared to mainland US and there was no noticeable difference. Lots of great brands, everything you’d see at your local Safeway. Super friendly customer service.

We used to love coming here to shop back in the day. Look what’s happened to Sumas. Gas stations shuttering at the Point. The Breakers still empty after 20 years. Prices here were already outrageous before the pandemic—now they’re even worse, and don’t believe anyone who says otherwise. It’s like a ghost town, and I doubt summer will help with the tariffs in place. Border agents have never been so drunk on power. Inflation and gouging seem to hit Americans harder than Canadians. Honestly, Point Roberts should be part of Canada. Since OJ keeps finding loopholes, he should give it up as a gesture of goodwill. Yeah, I’m dreaming.

I came down here from Canada by foot out of curiosity after having remembered getting Tillamook brand ice cream as a kid.

First, it is a very big and spacious store. At the front of the aisles they sell a multitude of non food items as well, such as outdoor stuff.

Second, you will be delighted by the different variety of food products, namely processed stuff. I saw chips, ice creams, drinks, cakes and dairy products that would probably never make it on Canadian shelves either because of regulations or because of our different standards. I was delighted to take home some shelf stable meat spaghetti and cheese that never expired.

There is a department that sells hot food to go. Oh, and they also have a large dedicated section to liquor and beer. I got these spiked energy drinks, they were amazing.

Now the biggest downside is unfortunately, this isn't, or shouldn't be, a grocery store that you should shop at regularly. You may have seen from other reviews that prices are high-- it's no joke. Prices are listed in USD, so you will see ice cream pints at $11, peanut butter at $10, cereal boxes at $13 and so on. Some more or less equal to Canadian prices, but your mileage may vary.

However, it's a great place to try out treats such as a layered chocolate shell ice cream pint or a boozy soft drink.

As an aside, I did get to try the Tillamook of my past but I was atomically disappointed. Like most commercial ice creams it was thick, frothy and foamy; a result of added stabilizers such as guar gum and carrageenan that enable it to not melt during the transport process. Not sure if they changed the recipe, or if my palate has changed.

Older lady working the till was very ignorant towards us, told us to get my id for alcohol so I went to get it from our vehicle than told my wife to show hers as well so went back to the vehicle a 2nd time (not a big deal WE UNDERSTAND) but right before that she was automatically assumed my wife was underage so I gave her attitude.. Don’t assume something that you don’t know for sure especially being a worker you should have respect for customers . Won’t return to the store due to that experience if your going to be a miserable person don’t go to work trying to get mad at the younger generation .

Lots of things to buy, good selection. I especially like the wine section as I like to have massive gambling sessions. It helps to ease my losses. The store special 5.99 is perfect for this on these days. Thank you for this bottle. It really helps me on my down days at an affordable price.

It's always nice to visit this place for groceries. Staff are so friendly and attentive. There are things you can't get in Canada. And pricing is relative. Yes it's cheaper in Bellingham but that's a bit farther to get to and sometimes quite busy. This market has wide spaces and if you come mid day there are some wonderful deli choices.

Don't come here thinking you might save money. There was a time when many items here were cheaper than in Canada As of summer 2023 shopping here will cost more than at the supermarkets in neighboring tsawwassen.
Perhaps you will save a few dollars on a bottle of wine. Or Bourbon if that's your drink.
I wish them luck as Point Roberts really needs a good place to buy food.

Extremely friendly staff. I make a special trip into the USA just to buy the best chips I have in ver tasted… Tim’s Cascade style jalapeño chips. If your passing threw mare sure u try them.
