I like to walk my dog at this park because it has a flat trail and it's beautiful there. there is no bathroom here and no garbage and they require a state parking pass.

It was a great walk, with even greater views. There's a main trail with gravel and such. They even provided a bench at the end of the walk for a good rest before you walk back. Then, for those who are adventurous, there's another trail below the first, that leads all the way to the edge of the island, providing even more amazing views, plenty of animals, and really nice exercise.

There's also many information panels on the first trail, providing lots of information on the island, the animals that live there, and the indigenous people that used to live there, before they were forced out.

All in all, I highly suggest taking a afternoon out, and goong out for a walk!

Great place to take a walk and enjoy nature. Nice park benches to rest if you need to or just to sit and enjoy the sunsets. Bring a light jacket as the wind can be a little brisk at times.

This area has changed tremendously over the last several years. It used to be great for walking and raptor viewing. It has now been restored to tidal estuary and most raptors are now gone. There is a new dike that is about 1/2 of a mile long, and this dike now provides the only walking. Very nice walking and views into the estuary. The parking lot is small and a porta potty is available. There are benches and signage along the dike. It is a wonderful place if your expectations are right.
