Do not live here if you are a college student. I am a current resident at the apartment complex and have had an awful experience in the time that I have lived here. They have charged me an outrageous electricity bill to the heating system they say "work perfectly" causing me to have a $600 bill. I signed a lease for a 4 bedroom but now I currently live alone and suffer the utilities bills and have been put all on me. This is ridiclous and not how management should be run. The office workers are rude and pushed me aside. I will not be living here after my lease is up due to sufferage I've been given.

As long as you can get a lease set up to move in, then overall it is not half bad. However, getting a summer lease was next to impossible. For starters, I filled out an application and never heard back about availability. When I called, I was told that I would have to wait until June 1 to move in due to construction. A bit inconvenient, but at least I had a move-in date. However, I had to request a lease, and it turned out to be a fall lease; I called again requesting a summer lease for the specified dates, and after my dad and I cosigned it, they sent me a notice that it had been cancelled because they supposedly heard that I was no longer interested in living there (which I never said). So then, we had to resign the lease and hope for the best.

Come move in day, the guy who usually works at the front desk seemed completely out of it as usual, but at least I received my keys and parking permit. When I moved in, I was actually impressed by my individual room, but also unimpressed with the fact that I had no working air conditioning and a toilet that did not properly flush. The provided furniture actually looks and feels really nice, but the rest of the unit is completely outdated.

In terms of amenities, they provide almost anything you could ever want (the dishwasher and in-unit laundry are big bonuses) along with the pool and computer room, but the pool was empty and looked filthy for the whole moth of June, and while it was filled up for a few days, they emptied it again. While it is a great concept with many amenities, it is not well cared for, and many of the employees here could not care less about making a professional first impression. And let's not forget the fact that my money order payment for the first month was not properly processed, which I would have never known had I not gained access to the online portal. The bookkeeper was very unprofessional and did not seem interested in helping me.

If you are able to get a lease and do not have super high expectations for your first apartment, then look no further! However, if you care about hospitality, professionalism, and satisfaction guaranteed, then look elsewhere!

As lease signing season begins, DO NOT sign your kids up to live here. It is not worth the sickness and filth that comes with it. I, too was roped in by all their claims and the incredibly nice units they allow you to tour, but I promise it is not like that at all. My apartment is filled with mold, and the Village was supposed to send Servepro in to treat it but never did. The ceiling is literally falling in in certain places. My floor had a hole in it that took the Village over 3 months to fix (and they “fixed” it by putting a sheet of plywood over top of the hole). Maintenance will come in all the time unannounced (which can be scary for young women). A pipe busted in the unit above me during winter break and I came back to find my bathroom flooded and holes cut into my ceiling. The only reason they actually came and fixed my ceiling is because there were literal bugs falling from the holes that would climb up my legs. The staff here is almost impossible to work with when it comes to issues on the property. Just don’t live here. There are better, more affordable options in the Huntington area.

I was initially terrified to live here because of the terrible reviews but the staff is v friendly, the apartments are clean, fully furnished, and honestly I'm very happy to have chosen this place.
There is the occasional construction that goes on, and it takes a little for non-emergency fixes (closet door, etc). This place is great and i really do enjoy it here (yes, I'm still living here)

Wouldn't recommend living here. The tour you get when signing the lease is completely different from actually living here. When I moved in the apartment was completely filthy and it seemed as though they hadn’t even wiped the counters down. Past residents food was still on the stove and in the floor. The whole billing and payment system also never works and they are constantly overdrawing money or saying you didn't pay your rent, when you actually did. They also barely knock on the door and then barge in when you don't answer the door within 3 seconds. The only good thing about this place is the kind maintenance men that work.

You guys need to do better background checks on the non-students that you offer leases to. I had two drug addicts randomly moved in that had frequently brought drugs and paraphernalia in and out of the unit. It costs $250 to transfer to safer and drug free units that still had dopeheads randomly showing up and stealing from me and my friend I had roomed with.

Additionally, there have been several shootings at the Village and the managers have the audacity to tell you that you cannot possess firearms in your unit, should you need to defend yourself from all the hardasses that live around the village.

The only positive experience I had here was with the maintenance, who were fairly kind to me and helped out whenever I requested. Additionally, most of the management is nice but the regulations and safety of the village are big concerns. I don’t recommend living here unless you lease a one bedroom or a two bedroom with a trusted friend.

Tony is the maintenance on staff here at the village and he’s amazing, always comes promptly to take care of any issues you have. He is beyond friendly and professional and wants to solve and take care of any issue you have. He goes above and beyond, always doing more than he has to, to make you feel comfortable and safe. Thank you for all you do Tony!!
