Lived in these apartments for two years, had absolutely no complaints! All maintenance requests were done within a day or two, David was such a great landlord and even let me stay a few months past my lease ended due to some moving issues. The apartments are a little pricier than some others in the area, but definitely worth it. Felt very safe at all times, the pools were nice, and the complex was very well maintained.

Lived here for a year during my residency and it was a great experience. The apartment is very spacious and comfortable. My garbage disposal had some problems, but anytime I reached out to the landlord, David, things were quickly resolved. Even when I got packages, he would text me to let me know. The apartment is very pet friendly and the maintenance would even give my pup treats when I’d see them outside. Usually the grounds were pretty clean and the place was quiet. Most residents are medical students and residents so I didn’t ever have to worry about loud parties. The only issue I had was partially my fault. My residency dates went beyond the dates of the lease and I needed to stay a bit longer and asked for an extension before I moved in, but never followed up, so I ended up having to move out into an Airbnb for a few days before I left town. They did let me stay an extra day or so which was nice and provided me with a complimentary storage unit for things I couldn’t move right away. Just be sure to confirm the lease dates unlike me lol would highly recommend this apartment although it is more expensive, the amount of space you have, great management that goes above and beyond, and the safety is worth it.

I lived here for one year during my optometry school rotations and it was amazing! My apartment when I moved in was spotless and if I had a problem while I lived there, the staff addressed it efficiently and with in a reasonable amount of time. David was so nice with working with me on my lease and tried everything to help me when I needed extra time or anything with my rotations. The amenities of the complex is top tier and I would recommend living here to anyone in the Huntington/ Barboursville area!

I’ve lived at Royal Oaks for a few years and I absolutely love it here! It’s close to the interstate so it’s really easy to get downtown or to the mall. The living spaces have plenty of room and staff is quick to respond to any issues you might have. It’s also pet friendly here and there’s a little fenced in dog park area for pets to run and play. There’s two pools and grills to cook on that are really nice for summertime! The population is mostly young professionals, not too many undergrads as far as I can tell. It’s quiet and I’ve always felt safe here. Overall a really great place to live!

Lived here for about 18 months while working downtown. It’s one of, if not the nicest, properties in Cabell County. Great location between the mall and downtown and modern units. Landlord is unparalleled - texts when you get packages, goes out of his way to make sure you are happy and comfortable. Could not recommend living here enough!

Royal Oaks has been a great living experience. The community is awesome. There are two pools with lots of chairs, tables, and grills that can be used anytime. The gym is a great feature, and there is even a room with a pool table. The apartments have nice finishes and they are spacious. Pet friendly is a major plus. Around here, it's not often you can find nice quality apartments that also allow pets. Royal Oaks not only allows pets; they welcome them. For those that say rent is high, consider what is included with rent, and then it is more understandable. Pools, grill, gym, dog park, basketball hoop, and more!

Management is fantastic. Very responsive and always willing to do whatever they can to make tenants' living spaces more enjoyable. They are trustworthy and genuinely care for their tenants. I really appreciate that.

Everyone is friendly here. I feel like it is a community similar to living in a neighborhood. I've also never felt unsafe here whatsoever.

Extremely convenient location to hop on the interstate or take Route 60 to Barboursville or towards Huntington/Marshall.

Royal Oaks is best in class in the Tri-State area. As a student in a professional program in need of quiet living, Royal Oaks filled the bill. David was amazing to work with, responsive and very accommodating. Highly recommend their great team. After 5 years here, I will really miss the facility following my move to SC.
