Stayed three nights at Rose Cottage in Kanab UT. The three bedroom, one bath property was clean, safe, accommodating, and spacious. We were able to cook some of our meals during our stay as it had stove/oven and out door grill. The front yard trees provided shade for us to cool on the hot days.

We stayed at the Rose Cottage and loved it! Everything was clean and comfortably organized. The house was decorated in a charming way and was a great home base for our visits to Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks.

We stayed at The Tranquil Bungalow. This place was fantastic. It was clean, comfortable and has gorgeous views and a great little yard area. Everything we needed was provided. Would definitely stay again!

We stayed in the 'Southwestern' home in Kanab for a week in October and really enjoyed ourselves. Our son and his fiancé got married in Peek-a-boo canyon and the house hosted the reception. It was a small wedding party (due to COVID-19), but the house had everything we needed. There were some minor maintenance issues, but that is to be expected in an older house. The property manager was responsive when we texted her. She even accommodated an extra couple of days when we asked. The location is fantastic: walking distance to US 89 (the main road in Kanab), downtown and markets. The only real issue we had was a lack of paper products: toilet paper, paper towels and facial tissues. The Town seemed to be having the same issue. When we return to Kanab we would like to stay here again.

I wanted to mention a few issues we encountered with the house that should be looked into, for safety precautions. First, the house is described on the website as having a completely fenced in yard which is false. The gate that is supposed to latch, is not even with the other side of the fence, and the lock is falling apart, therefore it does not latch. So, when we had our sleepover dog in the yard, we had to use a large tree stump to keep the fence somewhat closed, which was frustrating and not what we had imagined a “completely fenced in yard” would be. Second, the master bedroom has the two French doors that go out into the yard. The one door does NOT lock at all, therefore provides a serious safety concern when sleeping in that room at night or in general when we were gone during the day. It will not stay latched nor locked from the inside of the outside and that was a problem for us. We had to use a suitcase inside to keep it someone “shut safely”, in case someone decided to break in. Luckily, no one attempted to, because it would’ve been an easy break-in. Third, we used the washer and dryer for ONE load of clothes during our entire stay. When using the dryer, it made the entire house smell like something was burning. I felt like the dryer was going to set on fire, so I turned it off, got the clothes out, which were still wet, and had to hang them up in the house instead, which was very annoying and time consuming. This, also, was not stated in the description on the website, that the dryer did this or that this was normal, because as far as I’m concerned it’s not normal for your dryer to smell hot and like burning metal. Additionally, the lack of window covering in the main bathroom was strange, as there were other houses that were window level with the top of our fence and could see in as we were showering. We refrained from using that shower for that reason. Also, the front door lock was basically as useless as the fence and the door lock on the French doors in the master bedroom. Basically, it was a huge safety concern all together living in the house and I would NOT recommend it to anyone, until these issues are fixed. The front door lock would’ve fallen off, handle and all, if you didn’t hold onto it. Additionally, the backyard was a hot mess, with the “grilling area” looking like it hadn’t been cleaned in years, which was very disgusting, therefore we did not use it. Finally, the smoke detectors in at least of the bedroom and bathroom that I noticed had no batteries in them and were hanging down, with wires as they were not active, which is scary by itself! Between the security issues with all the locks in the house, the burning smell of the dryer, the constant clanking and banging of the air conditioner through the vents at night, and lack of privacy in the bathroom, I would not recommend nor return to the Main Street Cottage or Kanab Cottages in general for any length of stay. For paying basically $1,000 for a 4 night and 5 day stay, I expected MUCH MORE than what we received. I sincerely hope that these issues are fixed for the future or before anyone else has to stay in them, or I expect to see a lawsuit in the near future.

I stayed at the Kanab Cottage property in Jan 2020. I found the premises to be updated. The property was clean and ample shampoo, conditioner, etc was provided. This property allows you to have dogs, a big plus in my book. The yard area was nice, but it was too cold for me to hang out. I found this property and took a gamble on it ( other reviews were bad), and this place was nothing like described by previous renter. I would come back!

Very nice place. Our room was in the back, which eliminated any road noise.
