****(2025 update: 1 maintenance man left.. hot tub is always closed all the time. Wont fix anything! Disgusting! They respond on here but did nothing!)***** This is the worst place to live. The constant noise outside or working men outside on projects all day everyday. The hammering. Who can even sleep with all those noises and the pool and spa have been down for MONTHS and we pay for this!!!! And its always down!!!! I can't wait to move out of this noisy horrible place! They will steal your money too on all sorts of stuff. I got proof. And not give u any peace and quiet in return. Do I get to use the pool or jacuzzi. NO! Also your going to lose tires here too. We have lost 3 tires do to nails being left all over the place. One went into my foot! This needs to stop! BTW 5 million people will see these pics and my review. Have a nice day! Update 5/26/24 management might respond on here but they absolutely have done nothing. The jacuzzi and pool have been down for 3 months. They never fixed anything. They painted and remodeled the walls thats it folks. The pool is not heated and heat pump broke. Pump to jacuzzi still broke. Timer to it still broke.

I’m really disappointed with how my time at Artesia by the Lake ended. I lived here for 5 years and just moved out last month to be closer to Seattle. I enjoyed living here. The office managers were great and the maintenance team always made me feel taken care of. The apartments changed management my last year here, but the teams onsite still seemed to be kind and efficient. There was just a lot of construction happening.

Unfortunately after moving out I received a move out statement with an $1087.81 charge for a stain on the bedroom carpet. After contacting them, they revised the charge for the stain to $931.12. After living in this apartment for 5 years I was billed for replacing the carpet in the whole 1-bedroom apartment because of one small stain in the bedroom. Unfortunately I did not take pictures of the stain because I did not think I would be charged for it. After living there for 5 years and keeping the apartment pretty tidy, I thought a small stain like that would be considered normal wear and tear. I’m not sure how anyone with pets or kids ever moves out without having to pay at least $1000. If you move here, expect to owe a generous amount upon move out. I’ve attached some photos of how I left the apartment after moving out.

This place continues to suck and hasn't changed anything for the better in my almost 3 years here(or last review). So far, I've gotten 3 flat tires from construction in the parking lot, a bike stolen off my patio, and most recently my car was broken into in the parking lot and this past weekend I had 3 packages stolen off my front step. The "security" company is never around and doesn't even answer the phone. We are the only apartment complex around the lake with no gate around the property so there's constant homeless people walking through, drugs left on the grounds, garbage everywhere, but also people breaking into cars and stealing things. My car is not the first to be broken into as well.
Maintenance has been horrible- emergency maintenance doesn't answer the phone so my partner had to pay his own money to fix our shower that wouldn't shut off. Had to pay to use the laundromat for a week because maintenance wouldn't return our calls about ours being completely broken. Their solution to you being unable to find a parking spot is to pay them another $60 a month for a carport spot(which cars are often broken into under) but they then claim none are available, yet every night at least 30+ carport spots are open and no where else is available to park, putting your property even more at risk.
Shannon and the rest of the office will fill you with BS excuses, constantly telling you "they are working on it" "things take time, there's a process" "we have to go to the higher ups" etc etc. They got a new community manager 6 months ago and filled us all with promises, meanwhile the woman conveniently is never around in person or on the phone when you are looking for her. Apparently she has over 400 emails she needs to sift through. Meanwhile, the treadmills have been broken for 2 years and I've been told every 6 months it will be refurbished in 1-2 months. What amenities are you paying for you ask? Apparently a place you can never park, a leasing team who doesn't care, corporate who obviously doesn't give a crap about us(shocker) and the constant worry of having your property ruined or stolen.
PS: I'm also pretty sure "Maggie" who responds to all these reviews isn't a real person as I've never been able to get in contact with them, let alone anyone from higher up.

Shannon is great she helped us out last minute when another property fell through she went above and beyond and is making this difficult time a smooth transition. I came after 4pm on a Friday and she helped and didn’t rush us. I am so happy to start my new journey at Artesia thanks to Shannon 😊

No stars if I could. The maintenance team here is absolutely TERRIBLE!!!! I have had work orders put in for SEVERAL months and have yet to have the issues fixed! My roommate left abruptly two months before the lease is up, they took their washer and dryer with them. I had asked the apartment if I could get the ones that come with the unit back and they said that they have to order another set and that I would get it the following week. I called them the following week and they have confirmed that they have received my washer and dryer but they haven't had the "time" to install them because they are working on other work orders and they would "try" to install them the next day. Funny because they don't seem to be in too much of a hurry to fix the issues in my unit that have had work orders on them for months. I called the office this morning and explained to them that I REALLY need the washer and dryer installed today because of my work schedule (Usually working 16 hour shifts almost 5 - 7 days a week) I do not have a lot of time to be able to make it to a laundromat (I usually get about 4 hours of sleep in between shifts). Although the lady at the office was nice, she said she was going to contact the maintenance supervisor and tell them. I explained to her that I was on my way to work and that the maintenance team is more than welcome to enter my apartment. I specifically worked a half shift today so I could make it home Intime and have some time to wash my work uniforms and yet AGAIN I CAME HOME TO NO WASHER AND DRYER. I AM BEYOND FRUSTRATED AND IT DOES NOT SEEM LIKE ANYBODY CARES!!! BEWARE, I WOULD RATE 0 STARS IF I COULD.

Worst place ever, always charging you for unnecessary things, and they don’t have good client services, not even their resident app works well. According to them today they were going to start a construction on the parking lot near to the mailboxes (which is like 10 parking spots), I didn’t recived any notification that this construction was happening so this morning they towed my car saying that they sent 500 emails yesterday to tell people to move their cars, I had to wait until 12 to get answers on why I didn’t received any emails and they came to the conclusion that my resident app was not updated and because of that I didn’t received the emails, but it was their responsibility to ensure that everyone knew about this, they could have close those parking spots since yesterday or put a sign by the mailboxes saying not to park there, I lost one day of work and $500 for this. I saw another review where they shared that their car tier wheels got cut by nails that the workers leave from their ā€œprojectsā€ twice, and that extract same thing has happened to my car. They also mentioned about the spa not working for a long time, and unfortunately that is also true, we are paying for something we don’t get. They make unnecessary ā€œrenovationsā€ all the time. Anyway, I do not recommend this place at all.

Lived here six months. Took $975 of my $1,000 deposit so my son and I ended up homeless. Put on my profile that I was asked to leave, but I did not plan on renewing my lease. Just too many alcoholics bothering others and stiring up drama at the time. I don't know HOW I could have made $975 in damages barely living there. I left it very clean.
