Great place to take the kids. I brought my4 year old on a visit to satisfy my nostalgia, and she had fun. She was very intrigued by the animal displays as well as the live snakes. Outside there's a nice little trail leading to an overlook that's an easy walk for all ages.

Don't let the looks fool you. The parking lot is at the back of the building. Very nice visitor center. Clean restrooms.

For a small stop at the end of the Scenic Highway, it has a very nice variety of WV memorabilia, informational books, and SNAKES! They are beautiful creatures! Good stop for children as well! Fun facts and activity area. 💜

Closed Tuesday and Wednesday. But it has live snakes and some really fun taxidermy animals. The ranger was knowledgeable and recommended some awesome hiking. Gift shop has super comfy Smokey the Bear socks I'm wearing right now.

Great nature center with several snakes (in tanks!) as well as a good display of taxidermied animals. Also a nice gift store in the center as well. Really nice building and beautiful flowers out front too!

Really neat place to visit and see carnivorous plants growing in the wild. Very knowledgeable and friendly park rangers provided excellent information. Highly recommend checking out this unique ecosystem!

Not so impressive. Could have been better. Need to include more products at reasonable price. I am giving 4 bcz of sweet old couples managing the place as far as they can. However, the place has a nice collection of snakes and other organisms that can be found in the area. I like the ecosystem simulation module they have made inside the centre.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Nature Center! The staff was extremely friendly, the exhibits were fun for the kids, and it has a great nature trail. We caught the tail end of the snake program which I highly recommend.
