This place is terrible every since we have moved in there has been some kind of issues. I would not recommend renting g from them of kootentai county property mangement. They come off really nice you love in and everything starts falling apart. You ask for them to come in an fix it they half ass it. Then they allow yoir Neighbors who are super nosey to make up lies and when you ask for the proof they send u random photos that have nothing g to do with it an tell you yoir going to be evicted. If you want to live in peace do not rent through them. If you love drama there's neighborhoods are the place to live. There a bunch liberal idiots surrounding you on a daily. It's the craziest place to rent from. I'm telling you. You will regret it every minute of it.

Terrible experience. Lived there for 4 years. Rent increased by 200$ each year, the last 6 months we were without a dryer due to maintenance never showing up. Despite multiple attempts to get it fixed. Flash forward to move out. They require you to pay out of pocket for cleaners, carpet cleaners, and windows. Cool beans. Did that. Then they shot us with a 900$ cleaning fee for 16 hours of “cleaning” that still needed to be done. Claiming the stove took 7 hours to clean alone What? Will be taking them to small claims court. Their cleaning company they used is not a real company. It’s them with a different name. But same phone number.
This is the 16 hours of work I guess

Was promised to have my rental ready by the 31st. Moved from Colorado to Idaho and was surprised to see that the unit was not cleaned. Was told I could wait to have it cleaned or they would credit me $400. I decided not to wait and clean the unit myself because I had to return the Uhaul I rented. Well moving in my furniture I noticed the smell of dog urine from the carpet was horrible and would get worse each day. I called management and their solution was to wash the carpet again. I had to move my stuff to the garage so the carpet can be washed AGAIN. I waited a few days to move my stuff in to see if the smell was actually gone. The smell was still horrible. The carpet reaked of dog urine and feces. After complaining they finally decided to change the carpet. During this time I stayed at a hotel because they worked on the floors for 5 days. I told them I don't have family here in Idaho I don't have anywhere to go but they didn't care. I paid a hotel out of my own pocket and still had to pay for the whole month of rent when the unit was not liveable. I finally was able to move in the 22nd. I was literally charged for a whole month of rent when it wasn't ready for me to move in. It was never cleaned and the carpet was absolutely filthy. Worse management ever!!!!!! DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!!! They absolutely don't care about their tenants.

Worst management company in N. Idaho. I’ve been living at one of their properties for four years & have been harassed by two neighbors for over a year; being attacked on a weekly basis by one neighbors evil dog, and the other family’s kids are always destroying my property/leaving garbage in the yard. Management has done NOTHING. It takes weeks to get anything fixed, took four months to get my front door fixed, during that time anyone could have broken into my house, it took another three months to get my washer & dryer fixed. There’s absolutely no communication from management, Joy just says they’ll call you but no one ever does. They’ve increased rent $650 during a pandemic but can’t fix the things that need to be repaired in a timely manner or have the managers call when you have issues or complaints. They don’t care about their tenants, they just want to collect their money even though this place is falling apart. Not worth the money, not worth the harassment, definitely DO NOT RENT FROM ANY PROPERTY MANAGED BY THESE PEOPLE.

We were faithful tenants through D&M Management for 6+ years and I can't express enough what a horrible place it was. When my dryer went out, I called them and the incompetent receptionist did not even put an order for repair into the computer. I called 2 weeks later to inquire as to why no one had come to repair it and it was ONLY THEN that she finally put the order in. It took them over 3 weeks to repair it. When we moved out, we cleaned, made repairs, and replaced any items in the home that needed to be(blinds etc..), and we did not receive one cent back from our security deposit. Also, when we tried to rent through a different agency, D&M would not give us a good reference and said we were consistently late on our rent. This was a lie. I called and spoke with them and they admitted to me that we were great renters, but because of some sort of operating system on their computers, it made it to look like we were consistently late on our rent. Thankfully, most other Management companies seem to be aware of just how shady D&M are. They have built an infamous reputation for themselves. We have the best management company anyone could ask for now and we are so thankful to be rid of D&M. They are crooked, dishonest, and incredibly non-caring people. Beware, if you rent there, you are treated like a number and as if you are not worth their time. Word to the wise: Do NOT rent from them under any circumstances!!! If I could give them no stars, I would.

Since every review that I saw was extremely negative before I rented from D&M, I was a little nervous to sign a lease. I rented from D&M for 3 years before buying our first home, and I can tell you that they were the best property management company that I have worked with.

Any maintenance issue that I had was taken care of in a timely manner, and the maintenance guys were always great. They never tried to blame me for an issue with the townhouse or take maintenance out of my deposit. As long as you have a reasonable expectation of what is a quick turn around on maintenance issues, you won't be disappointed.

At the end of my lease when it was time to get my security deposit back, I figured it would be a battle (like it is with most places) to get a fair deposit back. When I opened the letter to see my check, I was surprised to find the best security deposit that I have ever received. They only took out $70, so as long as you take good care of the place and clean before you leave, you can expect to get your deposit back.

The only area that they could improve upon would be the front desk, as sometimes it takes a few days for them to call you back. Overall, if you are looking to rent, I would recommend D&M.

So far so good. Been renting for about a year now and it has been nothing short of good enough. The pet deposits are very expensive, don't expect to be able to get a pup with papers without spending at least 2k overall after all expenses (the deposit is $400 if I remember correctly). If you want to rescue an animal then you are still looking at at least $400 for the deposit still. You can't hang anything on the walls where I live, not with a nail anyways. This is actually quite frustrating if you know how to patch up the tiny little holes yourself but oh well. It is a reasonable price for the area, and as long as you just clean up a little (and not break everything) you will be able to renew your lease no problem. As far as maintenance goes, they can take a little while it seems, but my only experience was with a dishwasher so no big problem there. They were very communicative with when they would be arriving. While I am still living here though, I can't say whether or not I will get my deposit back as I have just renewed my lease. Hopefully things keep floating on like they have been without many problems or annoyances.

A word of advice: Their apartments on Summit and Lincoln here in CDA have terrible wiring for their cable. If you go with TWC and have been having connectivity issues definitely have TWC send a technician to your home, they put a cable in direct from the hub outside and my connection no longer drops.

They raise the rent every year, but say it's not their fault - that the homeowners are asking for more. It seems that they really want to sell you a house and so price you out of the one you are renting. They nitpicked our deposit to death when we changed houses, even though we spent weeks cleaning, patching, and painting to get the house up to par, AND made us pay another application fee to be able to move.
