NO Communication
I have been with The Rental Connection close to 2 decades and never had a problem until the new management took over in 2023.Back in 3/19/2024 Kelly informed me with a very threatening letter that I was behind in rent by $990.00, after going through the info they emailed me, I found that a check was not entered on the accounting spread sheet. I sent Kelly a copy of that check by email and Kelly agreed on 04/02/2024. That was the last time I heard from Kelly on this subject. Since the office never got back to me with all the messages I left to find out If I was up to date on payments, I assumed we were done.
Now again a year later on 02/18/2025 Kelly says I am behind on rent again and owning $1255.00. Its looks as if Kelly in 2024 just pushed everything aside and never did update the spreadsheet on my account. Kelly informed me that she will look into it and send me a current spreadsheet if she finds that I am still behind. It is now March 15, 2025, and all my phone calls and messages I have left to find out the statics are not being returned. Seems to me that Kelly is just pushing this aside once again not sure why, it’s almost like Kelly just expected me to pay what they figure I own but I see it more as a scam. It only takes a few minutes to email, text or call to let me know where there at on this. But it looks like they want to just push it aside for another year to collect more late fees.

I couldn’t possibly emphasize enough how terrible our experience with this company was. There was a water leak and they failed to fix it FOUR times. We lived with a giant hole in our ceiling for nearly the entire year we lived there.
The tiles in the bathroom fell of the wall after a few weeks because they had never sealed the grout.
Mildew and mold developed in the ceiling after they tried to use linoleum to cover a giant hole from the leak(s).
Mold and mildew developed around the tub because they had used drywall instead of the appropriate material for the tub surround.
We had a severe wind storm and part of the roof became to attached. They never came and fixed it.
The worst was at the end of our lease they called our co-signer and told them that we were $3800 behind on our rent and that they would destroy their credit if they didn’t pay it immediately. Thank God we had kept all of our receipts to show we paid our rent on time. Turns out they had failed to record that we had paid our rent one month. Instead of giving us a call, they were just going to let $3800 in fees rack up?! It reeked of a scam. Luckily, we were able to prove that we had paid every months rent and did not owe them anything.
Avoid this unscrupulous company! I know the housing market is really tight right now, but these people are unethical and you will regret renting from them. If you have another option, take it. You’ll be glad you did.
We still might have to sue just to get our deposit back after having dumped over a thousand dollars of our own money into this cute house in order to keep it livable. It was a nightmare.
While the owners may attempt to paint a different picture to somehow make themselves look better, we paid our rent entirely. They second guessed their scam after we contacted them and threatened suit.
Stay away from them. Stay far away.

I’ve had nothing but a great experience with them! I just recently had my garbage disposal and dishwasher break and within hours they came and fixed the disposal and as soon as the new dishwasher came they asked us what day worked best with us and worked around our schedule. The new ladies at the office have really turned this place around since I first started renting here. Been here a year and a half and have nothing but positive things to say!

Our property owner is a very nice lady. We wanted 6 yucca plants removed. They did not winter well. She had Franko our lands maintenance person do it at no cost to us. Thank you so very much. Now I can have a beautiful flower garden next year.

Samantha in the office is unbelievably kind, and helpful. Her, along with one of the maintenance men, immediately came to my home and took care of a pest situation! It’s been a breeze so far working with this company and I don’t imagine that changes anytime soon.
