The location amenities are good but the condo is dated beyond belief. If we could have gotten our money back from the prepaid condo rental to be able to stay elsewhere, we would have. ||There is a pickle all court and a tennis court. In season, an outdoor pool. The WiFi signal is strong. The heat was more than adequate. The kitchen is well equipped with gadgets and knives. The hot water is hot. The carpet looks new and doesn’t have worn spots. There are deer everywhere. The wildlife is the animals and birds not the partying people. Super quiet location. ||Cons: unless you are very friendly, having 8 people sharing the condo will not work unless you are very friendly. Upstairs loft has a very lumpy futon. The master bedroom’s queen bed has you rolling towards the middle of the bed. The sofa looks newer but we didn’t pull it out to use it. The downstairs bedrooms have the old fashioned bedspreads with stripe patterns. At least the sheets were white. When you leave, the instructions say to not strip the beds. My question is “are the linens really changed out each time?”||The 2 bathrooms are both on the lower level while the kitchen and living room are upstairs. Whomever is sleeping in the loft has to navigate 4 sets of stairs to get to the bathroom. One bathroom is not vented so the steam from the shower has no where to go. ||There is seating for 6 adults at the dining room table. There is seating for 4 adults in the living room. The recliner has a wooden handle and the footrest springs outward with force. The recliner puts you into a zero gravity position but it is an old fashioned heavy well padded recliner. The one and only TV is located in the living room. The stereo system has a cassette player, not CD. || There is no water view. It is 1/3 of a mile from our condo to the water. There are steep hills to hike to get to clubhouse or beach area. There is an option to drive down to the clubhouse and beach area, if need be. ||On both of the sliding glass doors, there are no sticks to put in the tracks to secure the door shut. The front door is the old fashioned key entry. There are no deadbolts.

It was very quiet during the off-season but clubhouse hours were limited for this reason. We had some difficulty getting through the gate before check-in on a dark, stormy fall night—we just barely made the 10pm cutoff. Aside from the dated, rustic decor and furniture all was decent except the bed. After one or two nights of terrible sleep we looked at the mattress and found it upside down! Some kind of sick joke by a prior guest I suppose. The office said they don’t flip mattresses. The mattress wasn’t much better after we flipped it.

We stayed a week in one of the larger timeshare units via RCI exchange.||The setting is quite nice with woods around though I was disappointed to not have a water view. The property has a private beach which is quite nice; we drove there tho I suppose it is walkable. Dogs are allowed. It is part of a large complex with many homes and condos.||The unit, while the largest, was an odd design. The main living floor does not have a bathroom. The main living floor has seating for 4 people. The dining table could hold 6 people. The 2 bedrooms are on a lower level and the bathrooms are on the lower level. The upper level is a loft with a fold out bed, of sorts. The loft might be good for children. Linens were adequate. The area was very quiet the week we were there.||The kitchen was adequately supplied for cooking. I did cook several evenings. There was a full sized refrigerator, oven, and a coffee maker, toaster , and a ||microwave. All worked. Paper towels were provided.||Check in/out were easy and fast.||The unit was very clean. The unit is dated. The access to the area is the reason to stay there. Other reviews I have read are accurate.||Masks were required on entrance to the desk/office area.

We had an RCI exchange for a 2 BR unit for a week. Kala Point Resort timeshare units are located within a gated community 20 mins drive out of Port Townsend heading towards Bainbridge. Please read the fine print on the exchange certificate for check-in instructions when arriving after hours for the code to connect to staff. ||||Our unit was multi-level - 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms down the stairs from the entrance; living room, dining room and kitchen one flight up and then 2 flights up to a loft area. Ample space with one designated parking space - other cars can use the unmarked spots or park along the road. Bathrooms were supplied with good quality towels and a few toiletries and a compact washer and dryer which was a very nice addition. Kitchens were well equipped including a dishwasher, coffee maker, microwave and full-sized fridge.||||Large living and dining room with a fireplace (only duraflame logs were allowed) - small balcony off the dining area and small sitting area off the master bedroom downstairs. One room with a Queen bed and the second with 2 twin beds.||||PROS : Location - beautiful setting for walks - downhill to a lovely beach and lagoon area. Landscaping and units were well-maintained. Pet friendly for more than reasonable fee of US$40 for the entire stay. Quiet and peaceful - likely dependent on other guests as the walls are thin between units. Clubhouse with a small gym leading to an outdoor pool (not open all year round) and sauna, a short walk away, Tennis courts en route to the beach. Outdoor BBQ stand and picnic tables for use on the lawns outside the suites. The closest dining is an excellent San Juan Taquirea which you will pass entering off the highway - they allowed us to use their phone to contact the Kala Point staff as our mobile phone were not working.||||CONS : Those with mobility issues will NOT manage the units or the hills as the suites are located on a slope. Significant updating would be nice but it was livable - do not expect luxury; it was in one word "comfortable". ||||This was a very pleasant stay and the town of Port Townsend with its charm made up for the utilitarian units. We would not hesitate to return.

It’s hard to find a vacation spot for Rover but this fits the bill! We had never been to Port Townsend before. The setting was lovely. We had a nice walk to the beach. ||We stayed in the largest unit & we each had our own bathroom. There were 3 floor levels. It was a little awkward to go downstairs to go to the bathroom but we got used to it.

Gave this beautiful location resort a 3+ because 1. checking in was a nightmare, we missed 2 ferries so go there after closing, couldn't use the code we had been given, nobody we talked to knew where the office was but the only good thing is that the office manager did answer her phone when corp. called her at night and had put our info. on the outside of the office window for us. 2. the unit was very dated, needed updating and new furniture. Odd set up which we knew about before hand, downstairs to 2 BR and 2 Baths, up to K and dining and living rooms, and up again 2 flights to loft. We probably kept off weight from our over eating because of the stairs! But definitely not for handicap nor people with bad knees. 3. parking was not good for the one spot allowed in our case but also for the 2nd car. On the plus side the area was beautiful, quiet, ocean and tennis courts, pool and spa, pickle ball courts, crabbing, BBQ area. Build on a hillside so walking entailed up hills, again, great for exercise and keeping off the over eating. Close to town and other activities. Secure area, clean. Would consider it again but look for an update unit.

We could not stay here. Left after 5 minutes. Timeshare condo very cramped with very narrow stairs and small rooms. Musty smell throughout. Could use an update of the whole interior. The only positive was Brenda at the office. She was understanding and courteous.
