First, I just want to say that homeownership was an impossible dream for my husband and I back where we were raised. When we moved to Washington, we made it a goal to be homeowners. When our lender connected us with Billy, he followed up (the follow up is so important especially for people like me who is usually too anxious to be the first one to make a connection) with a phone call within minutes and my husband and U met with him the next day to go over what we were looking for. My husband wanted to find land and build on it while I was leaning more towards purchasing an existing home.

Billy researched options for what we both wanted, so we looked at land and we also looked at houses. When we wanted to go see houses impromptu, given that Billy also has other clients, he wasn’t available for a few of the unplanned viewings, but he went above and beyond and sent someone to open the house up for us to look at when it was most convenient for us.

We found one we liked, but ended up backing out after the inspection report came back and we didn’t like what we saw.

We felt defeated but Billy was extremely gracious and reassured us that we can take as long as we need to find a house (or land) that we love. We went back to looking at land and homes and
ultimately found one near our jobs that my husband and I both liked very much. It took us a little less than a month from when we put down an offer to closing on the home.

The time between the inspection and closing, Billy’s assistant Camilla was available to answer all of my questions (and I had SO many) and was reassuring me constantly because I am a naturally anxious person and with this being the biggest purchase of my life, I was even more anxious and always asked the same questions every day. Billy’s team always took the time to reassure me via phone call, email, and text.

I have a sister who plans to move to Washington in the future and I will recommend her to work with Billy in a heartbeat!

We are incredibly lucky to have worked with Billy and his team! With us coming from low-income families, being raised by single mothers as kids and struggling while living in small apartments with multiple other siblings, my husband and I are the first in each of our families to own a house! This was truly a dream come true and we never imagined this would have worked out so quickly as it did for us.
