Charlie is the Best in the Craft! He is the only shoe repair in WV besides in Morgantown WV. We always bring our shoes and my purses here. He fixes & repairs soles and all things with shoes. An art that we will surely miss when he closes. Support this man at whatever cost. Cash only. Merchant fees kill small businesses. Tell him Sandy sent you! Thank goodness for Charlie being open! Best in the Land! Shoe insoles and shoe strings. All the things! Close to gasoline and eateries. Craftsmanship unlike any other.

I brought my boot in on the 3rd he had it done the next afternoon like nothing ever happend to it. I would definitely be back if something happends to my shoes again. 10 outta 10.

I drove from Beckley to his shop, we have no repair shops here, to have the sole or caps put back on the heels of my pumps. I paid to have them sent back to me. He did the complete sole of my shoes and they were amazing, beautiful work. I have several other shoes that I'll be taking to him and have told my friends. We have been lost in Beckley since the 1 repair shop stopped and just sells boots. I'm so thankful I took a chance and drove to his shop.

Three trips during their posted business hours, and they were not open. All I want to do is pick up my shoes.

Update, had to take my shoes back twice. Both times the soles came off within half a day. First time the owner tried to blame "the guy" that does the shoe repair, which is him. Not kidding. Second time he explained that since the were cheaply made shoes (handmade in the USA Redwings) the glue couldn't grip properly.
They were also closed during their posted business hours several more times. I gave up and bought a tube of shoe goo, which has held up fine.

It is very hard to find. There is no sign out front. It also smells of smoke and the glue that they use inside the store. They do good work but for the price, I could've bought a brand new pair of boots.

I’m giving a 3 because of the fast service, however I’m not use them again.
I took a pair of Birkenstocks in to be resoled and was charged 60 some odd dollars.
The resole was a generic dogbone Birk style sole, but not authentic.
It’s been almost a year and the sole has started to become unglued. You can see that the leather wasn’t prepped correctly before the glue was applied.
People have said to take them back, but anyone cutting corners like this has lost my trust. I paid for authentic soles to be used and paid premium prices for generic products and shoddy work, but it was completed within 3 days so…. There’s that.

I gave them a 3 because he fixed one pair of shoes 👞 but my favorite casual sandal type shoes he lost and or kept for himself. I sent my daughter in to check on my shoes he had for 6 months and he yelled at my daughter and said if I haven't called him yet then they're not ready. I've been in there three more times and his final word was I can't find them but when I do ill call two years and he still haven't found them
