We truly enjoyed our week in the Boho Getaway for Two Cabin at Joe's Ridge Retreat!

The place was spotlessly clean, comfortably furnished, and complete with all the essentials in the kitchen, laundry, and bathroom. We enjoyed the coffee and snacks that were provided, as well.

The property is amazing, sitting on a wooded ridge with a view from the balcony across the valley. We were able to sit and enjoy the sunset in the evening with deer grazing below. Had the mornings been a bit warmer during our visit, morning coffee on the balcony watching the sunrise and grazing deer would also have been in order.

The location is perfect, with easy access to New River Gorge National Park & Preserve and several WV state parks for hiking and spectacular scenery, as well as Beckley with all its conveniences, yet it is just far enough off the beaten path that you can truly enjoy the peace and quiet of a mountain getaway.

Matt is an amazing host, very responsive in answering questions and also providing great recommendations for dining (we really enjoyed our burgers at Black Circle Bistro) and activities in the area. While not an intentional part of our plan, it just so happened that the Bridge Day festival was going on during our stay so we got to experience that, as well.

We are already talking about our next trip here as there are still plenty of trails left to hike and things to see and do in the area, and above all we are always ready for a peaceful and relaxing time away in such a great place!

We had such a great weekend away! We loved how the cabin wasn't too far from the main road, but was tucked away just enough in the mountains to create the perfect peaceful setting. The cabin had everything we needed to relax and unwind, we never wanted to leave!! We loved being able to cook, but also had the option to go to Weathered Ground brewery just up the road (great wings by the way!). And it's just up the road from Glade Creek Farm where we photograph weddings frequently! We'll definitely be back!

Very nice cabin in the woods, full of indoor amenities. Beautiful views with wildlife crossing the parking area daily. Off the beaten path, but close to so many southern WV amenities, this is truly a hidden gem.

Our family loved the family get away cabin. The cabin was spacious, filled with lots of amenities and quiet. The view surrounding the cabin was scenic. It is a very easy drive to hike at the New River Gorge Grandview campus and is easy to get to from the interstate. The host was very responsive whn we had questions. Great place to stay.

We had a great time at Joe's Ridge Retreat while on a business trip in Beckley. The cabin was beautiful, and we got to watch hummingbirds up close on the deck. Everything was perfectly clean. It was an extremely pleasant experience and we're hoping to go back for a quiet vacation one day soon.

Joe's Ridge Retreat cabins are absolutely beautiful and so comfortable! They are brand new and have everything you could want or need. I especially love the open floor plan to gather with friends or family. The kitchen is stocked with all your cooking needs and the dining room table can seat 6! The bathroom is so nice and new and the hot water and water pressure are perfect. The best feature is the extra large front porch and there's a back deck as well! There are doors in every room of the cabin that lead to the porch or deck which is amazing!!! The ridge view is gorgeous no matter which season you plan to visit. I stayed in the winter and will certainly be back for spring, summer, and fall!

"Retreat" is an appropriate name for the setting of these cabins. I spent 3 nights in the Jungle Boogie in Mountains cabin and wanted to stay longer. This is a super clean property, new construction with just the right amount of amenities to prevent clutter. The decor is well thought out and tasteful.

The view from the front porch is exceptional with mountain and valley views and no homes or developments in sight. Just the 3 cabins that make up the retreat.

With my Merlin app I was able to identify 19 separate species of birds in a 10-minute session. Indigo Bunting, Red-headed Woodpecker, Yellow warbler, Red-eyed Vireo and Chestnut sided Warbler just to name a few. Beautiful sounds in a secluded setting. I will be returning and plan to check out the Boho Getaway for two next!

HIGHLY recommend booking a stay at Joe's Ridge Retreat! The Family Mountain Getaway cabin I stayed in with my girlfriends was absolutely perfect. Check-in was flawless and the hosts were responsive and welcoming. The cabin was spotless, had everything we needed to make meals, and the beds were super comfy. It was secluded and quite picturesque at sunset with the sunbeams glimmering through the trees, so magical!! I specifically liked the proximity to Grandview Overlook, and we hiked Turkey Spur. We ended our evening with some brewskies at Weathered Ground, a local brewery just down the road. My friends and I will definitely book again!
