I waited 2 weeks for Brooke to call me and tell me that she had no luck with people wanting to rent to me due to me being on Section 8 housing. I I'm a single mother with three children who need housing assistance right now to get by. Coming to find out they had helped someone, I know that's very close to me to get a place to stay even though they are a felon. I however am not a felon just a single mom with three children on housing assistance in need of a place to rent. I had called the front desk and spoke with Tom. Tom was very rude to me in all aspects. He didn't want to let me finish my sentence and was trying to talk over me. He was very unprofessional. He didn't even care what I had to say and I could tell because he constantly was talking over me and he was telling me that a lot of people don't want to deal with Section 8 housing. When I originally called I told them I was on Section 8 housing so why did they not tell me this in the first place. Instead they had me wait 2 weeks for Brooke to call me back because she said she was so busy with everybody else but I should have been just as important. But I waited 2 weeks for her to call me and tell me that the two places for rent nobody wanted to rent to me because I was on Section 8 housing which is guaranteed money. I had contact with the manager and I'm still waiting for a call back. The manager is Joel and you can find that on Google if you Google manager at success Realty in Marshfield Wisconsin. Furthermore, when I had asked Tom the guy who answers the phone if I could have the manager's name and number he had replied back to me" I will not give you the managers number or name you can just keep calling back here." What kind of person is he to say that to me!

If you want them to not send your lease renewal and then take your whole security deposit, rent with them!
Was a loyal renter for years that paid rent on time and kept apartment clean, but that doesn’t mean anything for this business. Property manager is unprofessional and this place has gone downhill since Erica left. Was going to buy a house through them, but after my experience, I will never do business with them again. Their motto of “putting you first” is a joke. Would never recommend this business to anybody.

Rented an apartment at Chestnut Grove Apartments, which was leased through Success Realty. Erica was our landlord.
Of course, when we were looking at the place she was nothing but friendly and helpful. As soon as we were moved in, complete 180. We informed her of damage on the doors in the apartment that were supposed to be fixed before we moved in none of which ever were replaced, a wall unit air conditioner was installed before we moved in and it continually was sliding out of the wall, the bar in the closet was broken and when we asked if we could replace it ourselves we were told no. They never fixed that either. People were constantly parked in our assigned parking place. We found dried blood in the apartment on the doors that were damaged, and when we told the landlord about it and how we didn't feel safe, she lied to us about the prior tenants and refused to do anything about it. My key to the front door would stick really bad, to the point of me not being able to get in sometimes, and I was told that it was a new lock but the sticking would wear off. It never did. I was locked out for half an hour once, still she didn't fix it. The sliding glass door that led to the patio right by the door to the apartment building wouldn't lock at all, it took three days for them to get someone to fix it. And when they did, I was told the lock was replaced but that it still didn't lock so I should check it occasionally to make sure it was locked. The stove top would randomly turn itself on even when all the knobs were in the off position. One day it wouldn't turn back off no matter what I did and it started making a hissing noise. I called Success immediately, they sent a guy to look at it. He turned off the breaker for it, sent a "specialist" to look at it, specialist didn't even realize the breaker to it was off and assumed it fixed itself before I told him what the other guy did. Then he looked it over and told me to just turn off the breaker when we weren't using it and turn it on when we were. That's how they fixed it. When we went to tell Erica that we would not be renewing our lease, she ignored us. So we emailed her, she ignored that as well. So we went again in person to tell her, and she told us that we were required to give her thirty days notice, which we were giving, and she just kept repeating that, to which we said that's what we're doing right now. When we moved out, we thoroughly cleaned the place, got the floors professionally done like we were required to do, replaced a few things out of our own pocket to guarantee we would get our security deposit back. Did the walk through with her, and was promised we get our deposit back within a week and a half. Two weeks went by, I called and was told she legally had 21 days to give it back and she was waiting for confirmation about us paying our utilities. We told her we had transferred the utilities to our new place and were billed accordingly, but she was very rude and insisted that we wouldn't get our deposit until she verified that we paid our utilities and she had 21 days to do so. It is now day 24 and I still don't have the deposit even though we did everything we were supposed to do. We are moving to a new house and will not have access to this mailing address after this week. I was told we will get it tomorrow, but I've heard that before so we'll see.
I would highly discourage anyone from working with Success Realty, most specifically Erica. It was an absolute nightmare.

Was bullied by them for having my fiance watch my children while I worked, he would only be at my house during the times I worked and they tried claiming he was living with me and tried to make me fill out an application for him, I don't recommend them due to being bullied, not the entire experience was terrible, but they were not great at handling things and jumped to conclusions instead of bringing it up and talking to me about it. They also were very controlling over who I had over at my house, the only person that would be over was my fiance to watch kids, he only ever spent the night once in the time I lived at the place I rented. And that was to keep them from assuming he was living there when he wasn't. Obviously that didn't work

Used Joel as a realtor, I didn't consider him completely up front and thorough. I wouldn't use him again. The "success" is him ripping you off.

Very disappointed with their property management services. Never informed us tenant moved out until after the fact, wasting valuable time getting the house ready for new tenants. Inconsistent with what they said they needed for updates before they would put a new tenant in the property. Very minimal effort in getting new tenants into the property.

To top it off, the key to the property they were giving prospects looked like this. How professional and businesslike is that? (And no, they did not get it from me!)

We bought our first house thanks to Dawn of Prudential Success. She was amazing, she really seemed to care about the things that we were prioritizing in looking for a house and was honest with us about the things we could get at certain price points. The house we bought was not even on our radar until Dawn encouraged us to check it out. She was positive and wonderful to work with the entire time we needed her. Now that we're moving out of Marshfield, we're going right back to her to help us sell our house! I can't speak for the other realtors, but Dawn Albanito was and is an amazing realtor for us!
